In reply to: 2.6 Toggle between Flash uploader and classic oneDear SilentlyScreaming, a thousand thank you’s!!!
This is it, this is the solution to the problem. Yes indeed, I used the the WP automatic upgrade plugin and indeed it does not upload the files you mentionnned. After manual FTP upload it does work as it should be, many thanks! Wahey! ??Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 2.6 Toggle between Flash uploader and classic oneOkey, I disabled plugins, first all, then one by one, then at random and in sequence. No avail.

In reply to: 2.6 Toggle between Flash uploader and classic oneThanks for the help sofar Otto42.
I have Adobe Flash version 9,0,124,0 installed (latest).
Using XP SP2, IE 7.0.5xx and FF 3.0 = same “problem”.
Do you mean plugins used in WP?
I might try to disable all plugins in WP and then see what happens… i’ll keep you informed.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 2.6 Toggle between Flash uploader and classic oneI can see “You are using the Browser uploader.” on the uploader screen. That’s it, no more, no less. No link. Nothing to toggle.

Go to: Dashboard > Settings > Recent Comments > Misc
Then untick (disable) the box where it says:
“The plugin should: X cache the output (recommended)”
Works fine with me. Of course the comments are not cached anymore which results in more database queries which is not recommended when you have tons of comments every day.Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: New media library (on 2.5)Same here, I also have a customized stylesheet to display images in “my way”. Earlier you could add images in simple steps.
In 2.5 you have to do a lot of extra steps. It gives you a lot of “crap” code I don’t need (such as: alt, title, widht, height and image number and other useless code..)
It also generates two thumbnails (instead of one) that I both manually have to remove from my host/server as I don’t use thumbs.
All extra work. Not an improvement at all this version 2.5. If I could, I would rollback immediatly to 2.2.1 again. *Sigh*
