I think the best thing you could do is to move WordPress into a subdir and change ypur configuration file accordingly.

That way you have the root pointing to your Joomla installation and your WordPress blog in another.

Here is a how to Move WordPress Within uour site

    Hello Kladji2

You allready have a feed build in WordPress, just put feed/ behind your site name and the xml feed file shows up.

But since this is n very user friendly, I suggest you head over to Feedbruner and Download ther plugin and let them handle your Feed subscriptions.

Its a free service, so I wont cost you anything, excapt time and effort to install and configure the feeds, but thats easy.

    Hello waXology,

    Your problem is this:
    – You run three Google ads in the Postings that show up in the Frontpage and since Google only allows you Three, the rest is not filled by Google.
Including your sidebar, which comes later in the page source code.

On the other pace there is usually just one Ads, so the Sidebar is also filled.

I Guess you run the AdSense deLuxe Plugin?
In the plugin there is an Option to Enable Ads on the Frontpage.
You could try what happens if you disable these placements, since the Sidebar is not part of the Postings.

Main reason is that the WP Component doesn’t have all the features and plugins as a Full WordPress installation.

    Woomera,

Please check if your configuration path of joomla is pointing to the right subdir.
You can check it in the Administrator panel at the Server Tab there is an “Absolute path” and a “Live Site”.

They might be off from where your Joomla really lives…
Changing this values is done by hand in the configuration.php file.

You might need to download that, change it and upload it again.

My best practice is to Install Joomla in the root and WordPress in a subdirectory.

Best thing to do for your problem is to NOT change the server setting to do the redirect, because this is the problem.
WordPress posts request the index.php which you set to Joomla ??

Instead you could do a Meta Redirect from the Index.html to the Joomladir.
But that is not really that good from an SEO point of view.
