You need to post the lines before it. It looks as though maybe you’ve already opened the PHP syntax.

Most themes display them by default if no widgets are selected. If you go to widgets and add a text widget, all the standard ones will disappear. Alternatively you can go into the sidebar.php and edit it.

Have you tried deleting the wp-content/themes/k2 folder and all its files and then installing again?

That functionality comes with WordPress by default. Go to Appearance >> Widgets and then drag RSS into the Sidebar. You’ll be prompted for the feed URL.
