This communication is between your server and the service + response is always ip addresses, so I really don’t see the need of adding ssl on the service side while it is free. To be honest this isn’t first time someone requires the https for the services and I can promise that will be added on the service side in the next period.

Regarding error page will rise up in case of Tor block, GeoIP block or data center traffic block. Also you probably noticed that you can add anything you want to the error page e.g. it is completely modular and you can add any message you want.

Def. it is true that ui / ux for the plugin isn’t ok at all, but as I mention before we need first to enable all of the firewall features and after that we will continue into ui/ux part.

Two scenarios:

1. If you use 32bit operating system then probably plugin won’t work because ip2long function and mysql db server.

2. If you don’t have 32bit os then deactivate and then activate the plugin will do the job

This is probably issue already reported… You probably use geoip blocking on another plugin and this plugin uses too, so that is one reason why plugin stops working when another plugins are turned on/off. Check the update…

Just checked the service and only RIPE registry is working on the server side at the moment. Tomorrow I’ll enable another services and add error message to the form.

hmm I think here will be wise to be added form for manual entry of the ip ranges e.g. if whoi doesn’t find it and you have it from another sources then you can use them.

Use the following format AS24940 ( also try this ASN )

If another ASN couldn’t be added then that means that there is problem retrieving information regarding that ASN ( will need to check this on the server side regarding whois protocol, but seems they don’t publish ip blocks to it – need to add error information display on the form ).

widget is just tor logo and ip address I think. As you can notice on the update there is default page that supports tags and I’ll push update with the same functionality for the widget too. At the moment working on one feature on the service and the plugin that I think will be more than welcomed by people who wan’t to secure their wp instances ??

yup, this is a nice catch! You have some another plugin that uses maxmind geoip blocking… I’ll update the plugin later today and until then you can use version 1.2

you can solve this with making .dat file with read/write permissions.
