FYI – I just updated my review, and I tried to change the star rating to 3 stars while we work on getting the problem resolved, but the system keeps showing me the 1 star rating… I tried several times to change it, and checked the URL in multiple browsers. Usually one is able to update the star rating… I’ll post about it in the support forums and see if I can’t get that changed.

    Hi Mcurly,

I apologize if my review came off as rude to you. That wasn’t my intention. I was incredibly frustrated b/c I’d been trying numerous Featured Image related plugins all afternoon and none of them were working properly. I posted reviews for them, as well. And this isn’t an excuse, but I’m going through a lot right now – my fiance was diagnosed in September with End Stage Liver Disease and to say I’ve been stressed and scared out of my mind is beyond an understatement. We spent months in the hospital and much time at home where I could not work at all b/c I’m his sole caregiver. So now I’m scrambling to try to get some new sites up and tweak some old ones ASAP b/c we’ve got 5 figures worth of medical bills and my income plummeted when I wasn’t able to work. So I’m under a tremendous amount of pressure and I am just trying to get some of the functionality that I need working right away — I’m sorry that caused me to not first post in the forums asking for help. I didn’t have time. I apologize for that.

I do not believe I’d tried the google scraping method. Was there any documentation that I’d missed which said that pixabay and flickr don’t work on posts with long titles? Generally, my posts do have long titles.

I also am sorry for taking so long to get back to you – I didn’t see the email notification of the thread update until just now. Thank you for having responded as promptly as you did — many of the free plugins do not (another reason I didn’t bother initially – I have some support requests with other plugins that are over a year old with no reply), so it’s great to know you are really invested in your plugin and determined to ensure that it’s working best for all users. I applaud that, as we both know that creating and maintaining free plugins are a labor of love — and I truly am sorry that I reacted the way that I did.

I’m the thick of it w/a different project right now, but would be happy to work with you when time permits to figure out why the plugin isn’t working for me. And I will also update my review.

    Best,
    Emily

    Hi Damian,

Thanks for responding. WP Favs is now able to pull in the lists of my Favs, however when I click “run this list” it brings me to a screen listing zero plugins to choose from. This happens regardless of whether I use my account API or a quick key for a single list… So it is still unusable and I miss it — I haven’t found anything that comes close to the functionality in this awesome (when it’s working) plugin!

Anything? Is this plugin still being maintained?

Decided I couldn’t leave my site up without any of the images loading – figured you’d be able to QA it on your end anyway. Had to deactivate the plugin. Tried BJ Lazy Load instead and not only is it working on all browsers, but GTmetrix scores are better and page load time is decreased by 1.36s compared to w/a3…

OK, I figured out what the problem was for me:

I am using All-in-One WP Security. On their Settings page they have an area where you can “Disable All Firewall Settings” in the event that you think it is conflicting with another plugin. After I did this, Multi Plugin Installer was again accessible.

Oddly, I then went back into All-in-One WP Security and re-enabled the Firewall settings one at a time (each time checking to see if Multi Plugin Installer was still working) and I have now re-enabled ALL of the firewall settings but the problem with accessing Multi Plugin is no longer happening…?

What was particularly frustrating (and obviously no fault of Multi Plugin Installer) is that I had gone through and deactivated my plugins to try to find the problem, but that did not work. Even with All-in-One WP Security DEACTIVATED (which claims to clear all security rules in the .htaccess file when the plugin got deactivated..), I still couldn’t access Multi Plugin Installer. It took reactivating Security and then Deactivating the Firewall from w/in the Security plugin. Still have no idea why it wasn’t working because, as previously stated, I reenabled the firewall and am still no longer having problems with permissions to manage plugins. Not going to claim to understand that, but am happy to be able to have my firewall fully on AND be able to use Multi Plugin Installer…

OK — I’ve been able to get back into my site via option 1 from the Unlock Email Request that was sent to my admin email.

BUT, that unlock is only good for 30 minutes… So I unblocked the random Panama address (after first pulling a report of all accesses by that IP — the browser ID for it was usually “Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; SeznamBot/3.2; +https://fulltext.sblog.cz/)”

Why is WordFence blocking me out when my IP is drastically different from the one manually blocked?

How do I know if my site was actually hacked?

I don’t know what to make of any of this…

It’s been 2 weeks since I first request support for this.. Can anyone help with this? TIA

    Hi Jan,

So sorry about that – it wasn’t intentional – I just went to my blog and copied the link from there to past into the Siteground link w/o even thinking about the fact that my affiliate code was in there. Truly sorry – I will be more careful and it most definitely won’t happen again.

I’d like to know the answer to this, as well…

    Hi Eric,

Thanks for the fast response as always. Do the code modifications need to be made to WP SEO or to the Factory plugin to get them to play nicely together?

Does the Factory plugin have the same issues with All-In-One SEO, as well?

    Thanks so much!

Just curious if you ever got this sorted out? I’m a big WordPress SEO fan and have been contemplating subscribing to Datafeedr. Are the two working well together? And are you using the Datafeedr Factory plugin or their API / woocommerce plugin?

    Much thanks!

    Hi Tim,

Thanks so much for the really quick response!

It must have been some sort of ghost in the machine / temporary glitch because, at least as of this morning, my notifications of user logins across my various sites now DO in fact contain the IP and hostname info ??

    Yay! (and phew!)

    mtaus –

Thanks so much for sharing this revealing insight into how the SA plugin works for our blog viewers!! Of course, as their website doesn’t say anything about this “multi-share panel” when creating a social share bar, bloggers would naturally assume that the methods used for sharing to FB, Twitter, etc would be the standard ones. By getting our blog viewers to authenticate their FB accounts, etc, with SA they are gaining extraordinary access to viewer’s personal data – and that’s certainly not how I would like my blogs’ readers to be treated! I’m so glad I came across your review/warning before implementing SA on any of my sites!

Shareaholic – when do you plan to allow publishers to turn off this rather nefarious “feature”?

Mine was also not working (still resulting in a 404 error). That portion of the problem turned out to be a conflict with another plugin.

After deactivating the other plugin, I’m now dealing with a redirect loop error..<sigh>
