Hey @joelsmashballoon – thanks so much for that info. Appreciate you doing everything you can to fix this issue for users of the free version.
I’ve put a temporary note on our website under the twitter feed to explain that the feed is not currently working. Is there some way you could add some “holding text” to an update to your free version to replace the feed content with a message explaining that there is currently a technical issue with displaying the embedded twitter feed but that this is currently being resolved?
Just noticed our Smash Balloon Twitter feed was also not displaying posts, and having checked that our settings still looked OK, I guessed that it might have been a change at the Twitter end that had caused something to break. Googling brought me to this thread.
@joelsmashballoon do you have any likely timescale for when the fix for users of your free version might be rolled out?

Like itinvestor the issue seemed to resolve itself – in my case my daily backups succeeded from Feb 7.
They have completed successfully since – I can only presume you did something to resolve the issue – so thanks if you did.

As a stop gap, if I manually copy the backup zip files from my website onto my google drive will then then be viewable/usable by UpdraftPlus from within the WordPress dashboard?
Any other advice?

I have tried the re-authentication step several times but still get the same message and in my case (Im not the OP) the largest zip file size is only 12MB.
But I can still delete Google Drive files from the Updraft control panel so the connection is still working, just not for the backups.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Google Drive authenication issuesI have experienced this same issue for the past 3 daily backups – after over a year of successful and trouble-free backups.
I have also tried ‘un-authenticating’ then re-authenticating using the link on the UpdraftPlus>Settings page, but I still get the same token error.
I have also checked my GoogleDrive and GoogleAccount settings and they both show that Updraft is an authorised app.
When I click the ‘Rescan remote storage’ link on the UpdraftPlus>Backup/Restore page it still seems to be able to access the GoogleDrive and also I am still able to delete old backups on GoogleDrive from the list on this page – so there is a working link to the GoogleDrive account.
This is also the only website backing up to this GoogleDrive account.
I would be very interested to learn of any fix to this.

I have updated to Version 1.8.7.2 but I think this issue has brought my site down (I guess due to volume / backlog or cron jobs?).
Can you please explain how I can rectify this (without losing PMPro settings / data)?

I appreciate your helpful post.
I tracked down the PMPro countries.php includes file and tried amending the pmpro_default_country from US to GB (I guess that is what you were suggesting I should do) but this didn’t seem to change the selected country in the drop-down list on the checkout page (after saving the php amend and refreshing the checkout page).
Thanks anyway. Any other ideas?
