  • I had a similar issue. Associating links to images worked as I expected. When I highlighted text with a block of text created using Elementor, I could assign a link, but I could not specify that it should be opened in a separate window.

The workaround, completely within Elementor, is as follows:
Add several spaces in the sentence that receive the text with link.
Save the page you are working on.
Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
Open an unused area that will accept widgets — say a footer.
Drag the Elementor text widget to the footer and drop it.
In the new text section, type the text that will be associated with the link.
Select that text and click the Insert/edit Link icon.
    Paste or type the url.
    Click the Link Options icon.
Check Open link in a new tab.
    Update.
    Save.
Select the text with associated url, and copy.
Return to the previous page with the text needing the link.
Place the cursor in a space between words that have no special formatting, and paste.
Delete the characters surrounding the desired text with link.
    Save.

    Greetings —

I am using WP 3.2.1 (hosted by 1and1) and WP-DBManager 2.63. The messages tell me the installation and activation was done correctly. But when I use the Backup DB menu and click Backup, I get these messages. It appears that the backup did not take place. What do I need to change?

    Thanks,
    Howard
