I’m so confused, I really don’t know.! I just want to start from scratch really. So I have MAMP installed on my Mac, downloaded WordPress to the htdocs file then linked up DW to aid design. I’ve done a basic design and I can view my site at localhost:8888/[sitename]/ but now want to transfer it so I can host it on the purchased domain name (which I’ve linked to WordPress and log in at https://www.[sitename].co.uk/wp-login).

What steps would I need to take, from exporting existing files (which files do I export? How? Where to?) to importing into WordPress (this latter bit I’m slightly more clued up about once I get the right file type).

Hi Shawn, I hope it’s ok if I jump in here! Your instructions have been really helpful so thanks for that. However, when I preview my post I just get the little image icons showing, not the image itself. Could you take a look and see if you can work out what I’ve done wrong?
