In reply to: p2 // wysiwyg functionality to the “post-form?”Jesus, still no fixes around? so sad ??
gnarf – still no workarounds to be found ??
Well, In the end we stayed with P2, having no Wysiwyg or any other formatting options. We set up a list of common html-codes in the sidebar to be copied & pasted, so the newbies don’t have to look ’em up & type each time, but that’s not an solution to stay of course.
It costs time to write and post-process each post in order to fix all the little code-mistakes made or the formatting, but in the end P2 simply is to great ??Still hoping this issue will be fixed soon ??
Have you found a workaround or trick yet?
greets, martin

In reply to: p2 // wysiwyg functionality to the “post-form?”yokima: it’s fast – that was the point of p2 […]no need to wait for server response; ain’t that cool
Well, actually I’d prefer “waiting” one second more in order to be able to edit my posts with WYSIWYG. Having long discussions on our project, rather then twitteresque posts like “K, the poop ‘s coming out now!”, it’s a certain comfort to use WYSIWYG: Adding Images, Qoutes, Links, etc, doesn’t result in Code (which I’m fine with – my members are not) – but clearly understandable output. I don’t have the ambition to teach all of my Users how to use HTML-Code – I wanna offer them something comparable to MSOffice – which is what they know, understand and are able to use.

In reply to: Help with Coding – New widget requestbtw: as far as my unerstanding goes, it’d not take more than a rating-plugin changed to not take a pre-defined number but a timestamp. A simple script should do the rest:
– (Actual Posting Timestamp) – (Entered Info Timestamp) = (Age of Info)
– mean deviation: ((Age of Info)+(n * Age of Info) / n) = X yr (The mean deviation of how old the information on my blog is, concerning all entries)
– Standard Deviation of the Mean: Showing in every Posts, how many years it’s away from the mean deviation. For example “Tokio Hotel is 20yr away from your SDM of 15yr” ??

In reply to: How to link a postViper already posted the proper solution. But there is a more simple way to get what you want: Use “Pages” instead of Posts – they are being linked directly in the sidebar ??
