  • Just went through your blog and found the following issues:

    1) It is taking a lot of time to load. It had been a few minutes now, but your site has not loaded yet. Here is how you can speed up your loading time.
    – Let only a few blog posts appear on the homepage.
    – Allow only excerpts to appear on the homepage, not entire blog posts, especially when those posts are huge.

Your images are big and you got a lot of images per post, which is good… the problem is that all of those are appearing on the homepage… try only to put a few images on the homepage…

    2) For some reason your image links are not friendly, and they do not even open when they are clicked on.
For example: this is the link to which the image is hyper-linked – /?attachment_id=870
but the image is available here – blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/playa_blanca.jpg

It must be something to do with the friendly link structure…

    3) Add some more social voting buttons on the post, perhaps a twitter button, your posts contains a lot of good picture, they can really spread on the social media,

overall, you have an excellent blog, keep it updated,
    cheers,

Can you enter your wordpress admin panel?

what is the last thing you did on your blog after which you lost access?

    looking foreword to your reply,

It is opening now, not sure what was causing the problem earlier.

Anyway, just went through your blog now and found the following things where you can work on:

    1) Your link structure is not friendly, you are still using the default link structure. Go to, settings-permalinks under your wordpress admin panel and select a more friendly permalinks structure.

    2) You are using the default theme, it is pretty much simple, but in the long run perhaps a premium or a custom theme will be a better idea. For the moment though, a bit of customizations like adding a logo and a header will help make your brand.

    3) I also find that you have added some ads, but banner ads and sidebar ads do not really convert well. Try putting a large rectangle of text ads, blended, into the article, and covered by text on all three sides.

    4) Use social media – those static share buttons that you have put in the article body is kind of old idea. Try using the call-to-action type, social voting buttons for more exposure and shares.

Overall, your blog is good and have some decent content,
    keep it updated,
    cheers,

Try using a plugin like digg-digg etc. to put your twitter button, it should solve the problem. It has additional settings, so unless you want it to appear on the homepage, it won’t display…

Since you are saying that this problem recently started and is affecting all posts, including older posts… which were fine earlier?

if that is the case the, let us know if you have done any changes lately. Did you add any new plugin… try disabling all plugins to see if that is the reason…

    keep us updated,
    cheers,

Perhaps the cleanest theme i have seen for the day.

I like this simple design, it is clear and loads up pretty fast. The logo and the name stands out, much relevant and looks good.

Nice integration of social media on the blog, the sidebar is looking good too.

Just one thing, i see the default link structure is still in operation. Perhaps you would like to implement the friendly links option. To do that, go to your permalinks option, under your wordpress admin panel, under settings. Choose a more friendly link structure from there,

overall, it is good, keep it updated,
    cheers,

That is a nice and clean theme you have chosen. The homepage has plenty of stufs on it but the loading time is quick and due to the presentation, it does not really look busy. So over all, it is good.

I also see a lot of content on the blog which is excellent.
    keep it updated,
    cheers,

This is a matter of choice really, however i like this one:
    glassespeople.com/sunglasses

My reason is that this layout is eyes friendly, so it seems good to me.

It is simple, i like the light blue and green combination. Clean and clear theme, definitely suggested.

Yeah, it definitely looks like a quick site.

Overall, it is simple, loads quickly and has a clean yet professional look about it,

would recommend you to get a logo, that will make it a bit more brandable.

I would suggest you to write longer review of the products you are trying to sell. Blog is all about content, and your product pages, hardly contains a few quick words… try writing sales letter kind of content for your product pages, it will look good and increase your sales,

    cheers,

Your site is not loading… not sure if it is a problem at my end, all other sites are opening pretty much nicely though…

will check back on this again, in the mean time, if it is really down, try to get it fixed,
    cheers,

    hi Ajnabii,
Your blog looks good, always good to start with a good premium theme, takes of the brand with a bang.

However, here are a few things you can work on:

    1) You have got an excellent logo, and your domain name is looking pretty clear as well. However, just below the logo, you have got a tag line that is hardly visible. Change the color of your tagline to something around white… so that it can be read more clearly…

    2) Good to see how you have implemented social media on your blog. Your integration is great. Would just suggest you to start focusing on an email list as well… good to maintain an email subscriber list from start,

overall, it is a great blog, nice content as well,
    keep it updated,
    cheers,

PS. do not bump your thread, it is against forum rules…

You home page is just huge, and so far, it has been a few minutes, but it is still not loaded yet. You need to work on your site loading time.

Here is the list of things that kept the page from loading:
the header on the top, the sidebar images and some of those are rotating images that takes some extra time…

This is the same problem with the rest of your blog pages… the loading time is just too much.

Apart from that, your blog is good. Nice content, a decent theme…
    keep it updated,
    cheers,

I just went through your blog, and overall it looks good. Just a few things i was wondering about, like the header image you have, is it relevant to your blog? If not, then get something related.

Your logo is good, simple and brandable. The ads are also well blended and looks fine. I also found some good content on your blog pages.

I see that you have got a social share button at the end of your blog posts. Perhaps a more call-to-action type of social voting buttons will be a better idea.

So over all, it is good, keep it updated,
    cheers,

Post the link to your website so that we can know what theme you are using…

with a bit of coding, it will be possible…
    looking foreword to the details,

It looks like the database user at godaddy, where you are importing, does not have sufficient privileges. Try giving it all the rights, and see if the import works…

alternatively, there is the xml backup option, where you export the xml file from the – wordpress admin panel, under the tools options. Then import it in the new wordpress installation… but it is better to try the sql first, as the xml does not contain all the data.
