Sounds like something else to look at.

If I read that right, that means if, say, the db value is 52, I set it to a number lower than 52?

I’m going to set this aside until tomorrow. There comes a point where it isn’t safe to continue poking at stuff, ya know?

Dang. Must be something else. It is still not appearing. But thanks for the update link!

I disabled then enabled the WP2Compatability plugin, deactivated/activated the SK2 plugin.

    AHA!

I did a test post and made two test comments to it.

Those two comments show up in the count. But the other post, which also has two comments, still do not. But that’s fine. I can deal with that.

    Wee-erd.

    Thank you for your help!

I downloaded/installed what I thought was the most recent SK2 but it is still the 2.0. (2.0 Final r4) Where can I find this v2.1?? I’ve downloaded the zip file from Dr. Dave’s site and from the WordPress Plugins Database. They are both 2.0

Yes, deactivating Framebuster worked for me too. Must be because of the preview down below.

Thanks, guys and gals, for the assistance.

Bill, I’m having the same/similar problem.

Even when I write a new post, select ‘save and continue editing’, the page reloads partway then it sends me to the site (meaning out of the admin).

I’ve not tried the upgrade on another blog yet though, so I don’t know if it is just Thought Patterns.

Thanks Moshu! On the first link you provided, I found another link to another site that addressed this issue and several others. I added a bottom border to the blockquote and viola! It’s fixed.

And yeah, schestowitz, I modified the theme a lot. I thought at first it was something I had done until I saw it was happening in other themes as well.

Oh, and Moshu, I considered doing a search but wasn’t sure what to search for. So thanks!

Instead of background image for the CSS, how would I tell it to put the image at the end or at the beginning of the text for the link? I’m trying out the Identify-External-Links plugin again. The author of the plugin says to use “a.extlink { }” in the CSS.

I looked over the stylesheet for Wikipedia, to see what they do, but none of the *external had an image associated with it. At least not one I could identify.

    Thanks!

Yeah, I saw that (the error message) and left it there until I could make a note of it to send to my site host.

Denis, I can’t seem to get it to just display the where and the who. I don’t want the excerpt to show. I tried doing both the -1 and 0 in the excerpt_length and the max_word_length. It puts out just the first word.

Can it not display the excerpt? If so, how do I tell it that’s what I want??

It does seem as though there is an open em or i tag in the header or in the sidebar.

I had trouble a while back where the whole thing was bold.

WP also has difficulty with the underscore mark _ and puts whatever is after it into italics. But it only does the letters until the next blank space.

Once I had a post that WordPress insisted on making italic. I had selected text and hit the quickbar button for em. My hand twitched and I clicked it twice. No matter how many times I took out the text, took out the em tags, each time I put the text back in, WP remembered and italisized them.

I just deleted that post and did it again.

But if it is all posts before and after, then recheck for an open tag in the header or sidebar(s).

I updated to 1.5.1.2 when it first came out and not a single problem.

But today all the dashboards are down. They show the top (the ‘this is the dashboard’ statement) and the ‘Latest Activity’ sidebar.

No footer. (but footer is on all the other admin pages)

Like several others, I read the feeds there everyday. Most of them are mulitples saying the same thing but still, I like the different perspectives.

    never looked there!

    duh!

That was like, so easy. Sheesh. Thanks!

    Okay, that’s what I was a’thinking.

Any idea how to update the version info at the bottom of the admin screens? I looked at the wp-admin/admin-footer but it didn’t help much (calls on the bloginfo(version) )

So what is this upgrade script?

I did the manual upgrade (changed the line in the file).

    What theme are you using?

Where is this >> and the category? page? post?

Look in the index.php under your active theme. Scroll down to where it will ‘call’ the category (most likely by php the_category).

In the code, it won’t be >>. Instead look for & gt ; or & #62 ; (take out the spaces!)

When you find it, make note of where you found it then delete it. Save the file then take a look. If it is still there, look for another.
