Hi @a11n – Thanks for following up. My client and I have decided to not pursue this any further as we can’t seem to figure out what is causing the issue. She will just publish posts manually. Thanks to your team here, though, for trying to help us out over the past few months!
Thanks for checking in. I installed the plugin as mentioned above, and the scheduled post still did not trigger a notification. We got in touch with the hosting company, who told us:
“I am afraid to inform that Jetpack is for old account and in new interface there is no jetpack.”That’s all they said and we don’t understand what that means, because you were able to see from your end that it seems to be connected, and on our end in the WP dashboard it also says it’s connected.
We scheduled a blog post for this morning at 4am PST and again, it failed to post on time so no notifications went out. I am installing the Missed Scheduled Posts Publisher plugin now and we will schedule another post for 4am tomorrow and see what happens.
Update – Now, 2.5 hours past the scheduled time, the blog post is magically appearing on the blog and says “Published” as the status. It no longer says “Missed schedule.” But I did not receive a notification from Jetpack. The post in question is titled “Peace for all of us.”
Do you think that installing the plugin “Missed Scheduled Posts Publisher” may correct this issue?
It looks as though our scheduled post that was supposed to post today, 11/25, at 4:00am PST, did not post at all. In WordPress, it says “Missed schedule” in red next to the post name in the date column. Could all of these issues have anything to do with a server setting that has something to do with scheduling? What does Jetpack require as far as server settings for scheduling and email notifications?
Giving you an update – we are not sure what happened, but her scheduled post today did not post to the blog itself, nor did notifications go out, and it appeared under Posts > All Posts as being in Draft mode today, although next to it, it said “last updated 11/24/23 at 4:00am” which makes no sense as she didn’t touch it.
So she is going to create a brand new post and schedule it for 11/25/23 at 5:00am PST again (west coast of the US), so hopefully this one will post normally.
@bizanimesh – thank you for your reply. We have scheduled a brand new post for tomorrow, 11/24/23, at 4:00am Pacific Standard Time (United States).
Hi Alin,
The issue occurs when we create new posts and schedule them to go out the next morning.
Hi Daniel! Thanks so much for following up on this. I can explain why you saw proof of those notifications being received. Those were not scheduled posts. Posts that are published the instant my client is finished typing them work fine – the notifications go right out. If she types a post and schedules it for the next morning, notifications do not go out.
Here is some history in case it helps you see the post notifications history for these.10/13 – she typed a post and published it immediately. We got the emails.
10/18 – she scheduled a post to go out at 4:00am. The post appeared on the blog just fine, but no one received any notifications.
10/19 – she scheduled a post titled “Gentle Reminder” to go out at 4:00am. The post appeared on the blog but no notifications went out.
10/25 – she edited an old post from 9/25 and put it in draft mode, then hit Publish. So that manual update triggered a notification just fine. She also published a new post titled “Small Works Big Show” and hit Publish so it wasn’t scheduled. Notifications went out for this as well. I think these were the two you saw 4 days ago.
Thanks for taking a look. The notifications for the scheduled posts are never sent. We’ve checked with several people, because I know certain mail providers are notorious for sending legitimate messages to spam folders, and each person is using a different mail provider and no one is receiving them.
Could this be an issue with a server setting?Hi @praveenmalav09 –
I added that code you suggested above, and it worked. The buttons in the WooCommerce shop are now visible again. Thank you. I assume you’ll release an updated version of the plugin so that the next update won’t overwrite this?
Thank you!
Hi @praveenmalav09,
The URL is https://lesleyriley.com/ and we deleted the Testimonials plugin temporarily.
I experienced the same issue on a customer’s WooCommerce site today. All of her shop buttons turned into transparent backgrounds with white text, so were not visible until I deactivated this Testimonial plugin.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] PayPal Standard no longer supported? Thanks very much for the input, @battouly. It’s much appreciated!
(Yes, “apocalyptic” was how I would have described it as well!)
