Yes, I know, there is something what I did wrong or what I did not do correctly, but I don’t know hat it is.
Nope..
When I go to dashboard I don’t see it, and it does not show when I log onto new site either.Hello govpatel,
I did try to follow your tutorial ( which is awesome btw ), but I could not do that process, because the is no “BACKUP” option on my old cPanel.
So what I did was this:
-downloaded all files from public_html onto my hard drive
-changed database name, user name and salt code in wp_config.php document
-copied tables from old database and copied them into new one, then changed site URL using wp_options in cPanel
-uploaded all files onto new server’s public_html folderHello kmessinger,
that problem is, it’s there.
When I check all the files in my public_html, theme (inFocus) is there.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: No tables found in my Database after uploading my site to new serverHello Benji,
thanks again so much for your support.
It now works, however, when I go to my new website, it only shows plain, brand new wordpress site, with default twentyten theme. Nothing from all that website is actually seen. It just look like I would only download fresh wp.Any idea?
I am also posting this question as a new topic, so it’s tagline is seen by others.

-now I try to change site URL, but I don’t know how…Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Moving self hosted site from one domain to anotherThank you so much govpatel.
Great tutorial video. It actually confirms that I am on the right track.
Important element I did not realize is that changing domain name in wp options. So you are moving files via backup. Would moving files via FTP do the same job ?
If yes, would that mean, that only things that need to be changed are:
– modifying wp-config.php inputing new MySQL info
– changing domain URL in wp optionsI also assume, that all links to photos, videos etc. must be definite, real URL. That way they should work from new domain or server?
Please, let me know if my thoughts are correct.
Thank you so much again, for your tutorial and for your support.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Moving self hosted site from one domain to anotherSorry Curtiss for my wrong answer to your question. I do actually need to change both. Domain and server as well.

Hello kmessinger,
thanks for your support. It is a pain for me, because I am new in this and I thought that wp will make my life easier. It hopefully will, once I figure this out.
I did now created new db and uploaded wp again, but it now shows a warning saying that there is an error establishing database connection.
Do I have to create new FTP account as well? I am not sure what I do wrong.
I will try to delete all databases, all users and start over again.Hello kmessinger,
thanks fr your response.
So you are suggesting to set up new MySQL database?
Ok, I will do that and let you know what happens.Thank you for your support.

In reply to: How to force horizontal space between embeded videosOH MY,
thank you so much for your response hedronist, but it looks like that is something completely over my head. I don’t know much about HTML, that is the main reason I am using WP. So it will probably has to stay as it is.Thanks again for your support, hopefully, I will learn more HTML, so I will be able to deal with it.
