In reply to: Want to preserve old site’s design, how do I mix with WordPress?Check out https://www.themespress.com which is a site you can drop any html code into and convert into a WordPress theme in minutes with little to no experience.
There is a $10.00 fee if you want to download your theme but you can edit and test it before you buy, so it’s a good thing to try and test.

In reply to: Email Notification Stopped WorkingOk, so the issue is now fixed. It appeared to be on my host side.
Here is the reply I received from my host:
“I have just been advised from our Operations Team that we had temporarily disabled the surgemail filter which is applied to the web servers on Saturday until yesterday. This was done as our building was undergoing upgrades to the power supply. How this would have affected you would have been that emails would have been queued up and sent at a later time when the surgemail filter was reactivated. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused for you.”
I’m not familiar with surgemail filters but once they turned the thing back on, I received all the back log of emails, comment notifications, etc., so if you are having this issue, ask your host if they are using surgemail filters and if so, turn it back on.

In reply to: Forgot to disable pluginWell if you didn’t disable your plugin’s prior to the upgrade from my experience, nothing bad will happen.
If you notice that some of your plugins are not working after the upgrade, disable them all, then reactivate them one-by-one to see what works with the upgrade.
If something doesn’t work, check for a plugin update from the author. Most plugin authors have made updated versions for their plugin’s.
Hope that helps.

In reply to: Email Notification Stopped WorkingIf my host did change my mail server settings, what could they have changed to cause this? I have not heard back from them as of yet and it’s driving me crazy and I can’t seem to find anything what describes what they might have done.
Others have had this issue as well but no replies on how it was corrected if it was even fixed.
When I get a reply from my host, I’ll be sure to post about it to help others and if someone can help me with a fix or what to look for, please reply.
Thanks in advance!

In reply to: Email notification of comments stopped workingIn the past 24 hours this has also happened to me. Comment notification doesn’t work, contact forum messages no longer work and if I use the word press database backup plugin it no longer emails me the file. I’m using 2.0.2 and haven’t changed anything on my end in weeks.
Has anyone come up with a solution? Thanks in advance!

In reply to: Comments notification stopped after upgrade to 2.0.2This is happening to me too. It just started in the past 24 hours. I’m running WP 2.0.2. Comment notification doesn’t work anymore, my contact form isn’t working anymore and if I try to email myself the backup of my database using the backup plugin, it doesn’t work anymore either.
I tried emailing my admin email address directly and that works, so it seems to be something with word press but I haven’t changed anything in over two weeks.
Has anyone found a solution or why this is happening?
