Thanks for the swift reply.

The test-accounts we deleted from admin-panel is in jail as you said, so that explains the difference I mentioned above.

Regarding the delete-option, I am reffering to the option in Rencontre > Custom > “No delete button”. I have not marked this, which means there is an option for the user frontend under settings to delete their own account. That was what I tried as a user, but I cant delete my account….

I will send you the danish po-file if you want. There will be a few translations that won’t work for a dating-site (our site is not a dating-site, but a site for lonely singles who just need someone to sleep with), but then again, the rest og the translations are correct. ??

This, just to let you know, that the problem has been taken care of. My database-admin has fixed the database-problem with the charset, and the messages appear as they are supposed to in Rencontre ??

I have come to a sort of conclusion… it appears to be an
“Illegal mix of collations (utf8mb4_unicode_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8mb4_unicode_520_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation ‘='” in the mySQL query. I have testet this (taken from the rencontre-file) directly in the mySQL-database.
SELECT
M.id,
M.sender,
M.recipient,
M.date,
M.read,
U.ID,
U.user_login
FROM
wp_rencontre_msg M,
wp_users U
WHERE
U.user_login=M.recipient and
M.sender=’Sleepy’ and
M.deleted!=2

I then get the “Illegal mix of collations…..” error as mentioned.

If you have any suggestions after the above info, as to how I can move on, it will be very welcome.

OK, I understand. Thank you for your help. I did not mean to be rude.:-)

I have tried to disable all other plugins and switch back to 2013-theme, and it did’nt make any difference. But as I am the only one with this problem it must be a local problem and I will find a fix on my own.

Anything new on this topic ? I ofcourse have updated Rencontre. Status is this:
When a member sends a message to another member, he or she will get an email. In the mail there is a link, which leads to the empty message-page we talked about before in this thread. The message-page is always empty, even though there are messages.

Any suggestions ? Am I the only one with this problem ?

I’ve put in an ekstra letter in the echo, just to make sure that I actually did change the code on the site, but unfortunately still empty and count result: 0

Two posts up I said: “so the messages is in the table somewhere.” What I meant was: somewhere in the database-tables, not in the table on the message-page. ??

Further info. I have tried to switch to wp-theme 2013 and disabeled all plugins except for Rencontre and the count is still “0”.

I tried to put the code in the file, and now I get a “**********Count result : 0” in top of the page before the table, which is still emty. But there should be messages. I tried to send a new mesage, just to make sure, but still the count is 0.

When I go via the rencontre-sidebar, to see who visited my profile, and then click on the profile who has sent me a message and then again click on “Send message”-button, I get to a page where I can see the messages between the profiles and the menu-item “Messages” is lit as an active menu-item….. so the messages is in the table somewhere.

Can you reproduce this issue on your system or is it just me ?

This is what I have tried to make the messages show:
I use the rencontre-page-template in the page-settings.
I have set the correct page in the rencontre-settings.
I switched to the rencontre-menu, and can se the count in the menu-item-field, so I know for a fact that there is a message.
When I click the menu-item all I get is a page with two collumns in an empty table. The headlines of the table is “member” and “date”, but no content.

Is this a bug you are trying to solve or is there anything else you would like me to try out ?
