• I have set up the affiliate dashboard, and I have generated links for a test affiliate — as in myself – and no conversions are being tracked at all despite having my having purchased through the affiliate link. The link I generated is to a sales page, which after using it, I then clicked through to the checkout page to complete the conversion. I assumed cookies would keep the generated link tracking especially considering visits have appeared on the dashboard, however, despite making the purchase, no conversion was tracked. I have purchased through the affiliate link twice now as I thought it was possible I had somehow done it wrong the first time but to no avail. For context, I have downloaded the free version as I thought conversion tracking was still possible without paying for premium. Am I wrong? Could someone help?

    Hello there,
    we hope you’re doing well!

We have registered as an affiliate on your site under the domain @ yithemes to see if the cookie persists during the purchase process.

We will be attentive to your approval.

    Best regards.

    Hello there,

I just checked the affiliate link on your site, and it appears the cookie is not being generated.

When visiting a referral link, you should be able to see the yith_wcaf_referral_token cookie by pressing F12 in your browser > Application > your site cookies.

Do you have the cookie expiration active in General Options > Cookie options? If so, verify that the time is greater than the time in which a user can complete a purchase, for example 5 minutes.

If you still can’t see the cookie, enable the Set cookies via AJAX option in General Options > Cookie options.

If it still doesn’t show up, I recommend you perform the following tests to see if the problem disappears at any point:

    • switch to a default WordPress theme like 2023
    • leave only WooCommerce assets and our plugin
    • activate your plugins in batches in the event that in the previous step the problem disappears, to see which of these is the one that generates the conflict.

You can do these last tests on a staging site easily created using the free WP Staging plugin.

We will be attentive to any news.

    Best regards.
