In reply to: [Dan's Embedder for Google Calendar] Multiple feeds inside 1 calendarI need this same thing. Dan, help!
It is true that the “Publish” link now automatically includes the new “e/“. I’m not sure when Google made the change, but I can confirm that the new format doesn’t work with this plugin (as of 3/22/18 anyway).
The trick, as noted by taastrategies, is to take the link from the address bar of the sheet, NOT the Publish to Web link.
Hope that helps somebody!
I am using version 3.1.6 of the plugin and was still getting the same “Catchable fatal error: Argument 1” error as many previous posts.
In my case, I had to mess with the Form Builder so that it matched my exact specs for my previous design of the form (before the update that broke all this).
Specifically, I had First Name, Last Name, Email and 2 checkboxes for the subscriber to choose what list(s) to join. After the update, the form builder was using a pulldown and didn’t have fields for First and Last Name.
Once I perfectly matched what I had before (added name fields and checkboxes), it started working again.
I hope that helps somebody. I couldn’t find any working solutions from the developer (Katz) or the Constant Contact site.
I am still searching for a solution to this. I’m trying to set up sharing buttons that appear on each individual photo page, using the imagebrowser settings.
When the photo is Shared on Facebook or Twitter, I want the link to go to that exact URL where the photo is shown, and that photo used as the small thumbnail in the post.
I can add the appropriate Facebook Open Graph meta data to get the share to display the exact thumbnail image, but it still posts a link to the main gallery, not that image’s page.
I’ve tried ShareThis, AddThis, and 3 others, and all give the same result.
Here is an example link:

OK, scratch that actually.
I have figured out that the reason it was only changing the thumbnails on two of my posts is because only those two had featured images in place. The other images populating my grid of posts were pulling the image that I placed in the post itself.
SO, since it would be even easier to not have to set a featured image, is there a way to make it crop and not stretch on those images it’s automatically pulling from the body of the post?
My guess is I have to do a featured image for each. But if it grabbed the first image in a post and made that a properly cropped (not stretched) thumbnail, I’d be a really happy camper.
David,
Thanks a lot for this advice. I have the plug-in installed, and on my first pass I thought it was exactly what I needed.
But it seems to have only re-created the images for my first two thumbnails, and none of the others. I ran the rebuild process twice, and eventually a third time where I had it rebuild everything just to be sure, and still the same result.
I’ve tested it in a couple reset/cleared browsers so I don’t think it’s a local cache issue.
Any other advice on how to eliminate the thumbnail stretch effect? Thanks again!
I tried it in a fully-reset Firefox and that didn’t work either.
Chrome shows:
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
After reading around, my hunch is that the server needs to be upgraded to PHP5. I believe I can also solve it by deleting the plugin folder via FTP, but I am still working on getting that access. (This is a client site.) The PHP upgrade is potentially difficult for me too at this point.
That was a really great idea, but it didn’t work.
At least not in Safari on my Mac. I’m testing in other browsers now.
I am having the same problem, and the only solution I can find so far is to manually remove the plug-in via FTP.
My current problem is that getting that FTP access will be difficult, so I need some other way to deactivate the plug-in without using FTP.
I appear to be able to log-in to my backend, but I get only a white/blank screen once I log in, so I don’t have anywhere to go for deactivation.
Any idea if there is a particular URL or other method that might deactivate the plug-in?
I am having the same “blank page” problem.
So I know, to deactivate via FTP, can I just delete the plugin folder, or is there more to it than that?
I have no interest in re-installing it, I only want this troublemaker GONE! Because it is a client site, I might not be able to get to the files by FTP. Any idea if there is another way I could remove/deactivate it?
Thank you for any advice.
The red X in I.E. might be caused by the image type. Are they PNGs by any chance?
I have had some issues with that image format and older versions of windows/IE.
I am having a similar problem, except after activating the latest NextGen plug-in on a current version of WordPress, my admin backend is just a blank page.
Front-end of the site is fine. I can log in, but all I get is nothing / white.
Is there any way to deactivate or remove the plug-in now that I can’t access the backend of the site? I am not sure if I will be able to get FTP access.
Thanks for any help.
I activated the plug-in, running the latest version of WordPress, and now when I log into my admin site, all I get is a blank page.
Is the only way I can fix it through FTP access to manually delete the plug-in? I haven’t configured it in any way, or uploaded any photos. I just downloaded, installed and activated through my admin backend. The screen refreshed to a blank white page and is now completely inaccessible by web.
The site itself appears to still be running fine, but I can’t do anything in the backend.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. I just want it removed from my site.
Thanks
