NOTE: we are not seeing this problem on any of test sites. We need to examine the problem on a site where this issue is occuring.

The easiest way to achieve this would be to create another page on your website containing the contact form typically a “contact Us” and creating a hyperlink to this form, which can be done within the WordPress Visual editor.

Hi Lithia – the issues you are having relate to Contact Form 7 rather than Contact Form 7 Skins. CF7 Skins is built on top of Contact Form 7 which handles all the email sending etc.

Are you saying that you would like a link on your website that you would like to open up a modal window with your contact form on it?

or that you would like text that expands to include a contact form when clicked?

If the form is already on your website, and you are just trying to edit a form, you do not need to post this shortcode anywhere, simply make the changes you require and save the changes. This shortcode is for adding the contact form to a location.

This email address does not belong to the same domain as the site.

This is warning about the configuration of your mail settings. As the email address is not coming form the same domain as the one form is hosted it may be seen as spam and not delivered.

This field can be empty depending on user input.

This is once again a warning about your configuration. Because the subject field is [your-subject] if the form user does not fill out this field the email will not send as an email will not send without a subject. You can solve this by making subject a required field, or changing it to include some text, such as subject [your-subject]

Please fix these issues and if your form is still not working please provide us with a link to your form so that we may trouble shoot.

The Syntax error is not bogus, you are having this issue because you are putting your name within a pair of angle brackets.

This informs contact form 7 that a email address is contained within, which in your case is seen as invalid as you have no “@.com”.

To fix this issue you could replace from with Andrea Beltrami <[your-email]>

Please note however that this is not best practice as a lot of emails will be seen as spam, see contact form 7 email issues

Also if you are to do this if the user does not fill in their e-mail the form will not send and so your-email must be a required field.

The large delay is likely caused by a Javascript conflict with either your current WordPress theme or one of the other plugins you are using. It can also be caused by a server-side warning or error or unclosed invalid tags in your form content. See JavaScript Conflict Problems for guidance on how to investigate this.

You are able to set a minimum date using the min:(date) attribute. This would however disable the ability to select all dates before this time.

To get the exact date range, this would have to be done with custom script.

To make any styling changes to the form including the styling of the error messages of the form you would need to use CSS.

You are able to make these changes via a Custom CSS plugin such as Simple Custom CSS or a Child theme.

For example to change the color of the validation error to a light blue you would put in the following css:

You can now also add an id and class to a form by adding the html_id and html_class attributes into a [contact-form-7] shortcode.
