In reply to: 1/3 admins cannot change author name on postsAha! I figured it out. She was looking in the field for our submission form. The regular “author” field was not visible. I turned it on, and now all is well. Thanks!

In reply to: Can’t schedule posts in 2.8@communicatejesus any idea which plugin caused this? and were you able to reactivate them and still schedule posts? we need all of our plugins, but also need to schedule posts.

In reply to: Can’t schedule posts in 2.8i’m having trouble with scheduled posts since upgrading to 2.8 also. namely, the schedules aren’t publishing, and from the edit dashboard, those whose scheduled time has passed return a message under the schedule date that says: Schedule missed.

In reply to: Sidebar widget problembasketballjohn: i’m having a similar problem, only in the case of my site (www.munidiaries.com), the .com page doesn’t load my sidebar, and instead puts it at the bottom of the page. individual posts are rendering correctly, however.
the widgets i use are:
search
categories
recent comments
archives
links
metai haven’t changed anything, nor updated WP versions (still on 2.6.3). they simply stopped appearing on the right nav a couple days ago.
help? i honestly don’t feel like updating to 2.7, if that’s the problem. but i will eventually.

In reply to: Installing tinymce WYSIWYGrajkp:
can you translate your help above into more layman language? i got the .php from tinyMCE no problem. got it uploaded to the js folder on my site. but when you say, “You’ll need to figure out what to replace blah with,” can you be more specific? i went to the moxie code site, and found no examples of code.
one other thing: i downloaded the .zip from the tinyMCE site, and i only got one file. you mention uploading “stuff” from the .zip. should there be more than one file? what am i missing here?

In reply to: WYSIWYG Editorjdembowski: i’m a novice, so bear with me. i tried applying the fix you recommended to nicobet, to no avail. i tripled checked the code i pasted into the tinymce.php file, and it was accurate.
i want a WYSIWYG editor much like the last version of word press. why they would take that away, I have no idea. the new editor is clunky and lame.
oh, i just installed 2.1, for your (or anyone else’s) reference.
