Slight update. Seems that the Header Slideshow plugin was the issue. I’ve posted about it here. Unfortunately I’m not experienced enough to modify code without help, so maybe someone with programming experience might have some ideas.

I’m having the same problem with a 404 error on the missing archives. I’ve got postings for each year in the blog as suggested, but still no archives.
