Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Getting low contrast when uploading images created in gimpThx. Correction: The problem is not the photo itself, it is when I put text in the image, the text appears much clearer on the file on my pc than on the website. see https://alvoenkunst.no for example.
The slider at the top has som letters on the right side and they look unclear. Anyone know if it’s possible to fix this?
Hi Tom. You’re right. Its version 3.3 on the one not working. Sorry about that ! I’ll update when I have the time and try again. Thanks !
Robert
Hi thanks for answering. I tried the two first options.
I’ve tried the solution with changing the wp-config- file, it didn’t work so I changed the file back to original.
Then I tried editing the functions.php- file, but didn’t work so I changed it back.
Hope I configured the correct files though. First I tried editing the wp-config.php- file. This is supposed to be the one located in the “root” – folder right?
And the functions.php- file I’m supposed to edit was located inside the theme- folder. Is this correct?
Thanks.
Yes i followed that one. Didn’t work
Hi. Thanks for answering.
Are both sites running on the same server? (trying to rule out server configuration)
Yes they are
Are both sites on the same version of WordPress, and is the WordPress version 3.5+? (trying to rule out it being due to an old version of WordPress)
Yes they are both version 3.51
Have you tried disabling your other plugins? (most likely, if the answer to the first two questions is “yes”, then there will be a conflict with another plugin)
No I have not. I tried the satellite-slider plugin, but was not satisfied with it, and then removed it. That was before trying the meta-slider. I don’t know if that could have an effect, however I did unuinstall it before installing Meta-slider so I would guess that’s not the problem. I’ll try disabling some plugins and try again. Problem is that I need the other plugins that are installed as well.
