I tried to mark this as resolved, but it did not take. When i tried activating the WP update again from dashboard it worked fine.

Thank you! The latter set of coding worked like a charm. I knew it was a hover set up, but only added the first part of wp-posts-carousel in code and not the second showing title.

There no longer is a Paste from Word icon in the current WPress. It automatically should be changing font pasted from Word to what is dictated in CSS. That is the problem. I am trying to not make the client paste into text editor and then copy and paste from there into WordPress.

In IE 11 Text tab of editor stalls, computer usage jumps to 60% and then nothing happens. I can edit using text editor in View, but it too is very slow. It goes perfectly fine in FireFox.

I deactivated all plugins and reactivated one at a time and no change.

The site looks fine, just that my client can’t edit in IE 11 with new WP upgrade. Very slow, hangs and never saves when I can edit.

Oh. Newbie mistake. I found 25 new users as subscribers. There was nothing where I could approve them, so I deleted them all. I believe they were spam as all used some version of same email address.

Is there something I need to do or plugin to approve people before they become subscribers that can post comments? I have a check by discussion that states people must register before they can post.

I found the problem. When I install ithemes security, it automatically bans my local host and the one at home. I have to go into .htacess and delete the lines denying my IP address.

Then my site comes up and I can access the dashboard. I checked to be sure my IP address was whitelisted and it was NOT on the banned list. However the minutes I log out, I am banned again. It is as if iThemes security has memorized my IP address and continues to add it to the banned list as soon as I log out.

I just deleted the iThemes security and when with something else.

Okay, so in essence the answer to my question is “yes”?

I will be moving the HTML site into a sub-directory and set up a redirect to it first.

I will move the WP site and database using Backup Buddy, so I really don’t have to do much as it will change all existing links and .htaccess file.

It is good to know, however from the article about having multiple sites and where to put those files. I have another client with 4 websites, one for each season currently in HTML. Now when I rebuild her sites, I will know where to put those files for easy change over.
