Still having this problem. I have also been speaking with my host and they haven’t been able to fix it.

Changing to default theme did not work.

I’m seeing the same error in Chrome. Still having problems with this.

I heard from my hosting company today. Temp folder is not full. The browser I’m using is Explorer. When that didn’t work I tried Firefox. I guess I’ll install Chrome and see if that works.

I have found the temp folders on my control panel. It doesn’t look like that’s the problem, but I have placed a request with my host provider to make sure. Having excessive backups on your server would cause problems, but that is not happening in my case.

php_errorlog is blank in main folder associated with domain name, as well as in wp-admin and wp-includes, the other two places I could find a file with that name. I don’t see anything named a “temp folder”–could it be under a different name? I do have a LOT of images on this blog. https://hearthmoonblog.com

I think this is resolved. I had been emailing my webhost for several days because I thought the problem might be there. I don’t know if it was or not. It did not look like a permissions issue. Anyway, after several days of working on it (or me working on them) they seem to have fixed the problem, because now the images are posting.

Theme was 2011. No images could be uploaded in the Media Gallery. Posts were happening–not images. There were no error messages. Weird.

    Thank you for your help.

I deleted and re-installed WordPress. Still having the same problems. Basically, no image shows on the dashboard and no image uploads.

The page where images in theme files is not loading is the dashboard page under “appearances” in the “manage themes” tab. If I click the “Install Themes” tab and click the “find themes” button, I can see the preview of themes, but I cannot see any theme pictures from the “manage themes” tab. This is not necessarily a huge problem, but it may point to where the problem is with uploading.

I have not gotten to the point of posting. I am still trying to upload pictures for my header and my background. Is the “uploads directory” the same for both?

Under settings>media the file name is wp-content/uploads. On my hosted account, this file has a permission of 755.

Yes, the images are under 2MB and in the appropriate format. Images for the “themes” (e.g. twenty-ten, twenty-eleven) that I activated do not show either. I get no error message. The images simply do not upload. I do not know what you mean by “uploads directory.” Is this a file in WordPress?
