  • Hi there,

The WP editor keyboard shortcuts seem to be getting in the way. Could you try adding the pipe in the text editor rather than the visual editor? That should fix the problem. It could be possible to modify the plugin to use another character rather than the pipe, however then it’s not quite the same as MediaWiki etc which is the entire point of this plugin :/ If you need further instructions on changing the pipe to another character then give me a buzz and let me know which character you’d like to replace the pipe and I can send you info on how to do it. Thanks for supporting my plugin and for letting me know about this problem!

    Regards,

    Hi there,

Sounds like you need a plugin that opens up your affiliate link in an iframe. This plugin doesn’t do that, mostly it’s just a quick shortcut to a file or other site so you can count the clicks on outgoing traffic.

What you’re looking for is something that will cloak affiliate links. A quick search for WordPress affiliate link cloak gave me a good few results. Hopefully you’ve already found what you were looking for ?? I really need to check these forums more regularly…

I’m sorry this forum didn’t really notify me of any support topics on here so I completely missed this one.

I’m closing off these topics because they’re old. Please update the plugin to the newest version and if you’re still having problems, email me [email protected]

    Hi there,

Yes the plugin works fine. There was a discrepency between the customfield1 and customfield2 in the demo advert which has been fixed with the recent update but either way the ad code should be updated with your own ad code anyway.

The pub ID and slot ID work together in the code so yes they should be correct. This is explained in the manual which has full instructions for using the plugin with Google Adsense.

ca-pub and pub- are the same. When you create the code in Google Adsense you just simply put whichever one Google gives you. To use Google Adsense with this plugin you need a publisher ID and slot ID. So far the advert code only has those two things that differ. Even so.. although you can use this with Google Adsense I wouldn’t really recommend it for sites that don’t have trusted users. The slot ID means they could put in an advert that is a different size or colour from your adverts. That could be avoided using CSS but still.. it’s not for amateur site owners.

    Hi there,

If the plugin is unable to create the table itself then it’ll give you a notice with further instructions on how to install the table.

That’s great, thank you very much. This is the next best thing to being able to change the username ??

Ahhh so it does. However if you search for your plugin on the left it shows username at the bottom of each result. So on my page it shows Crafty Coding with a link to my profile but on the search results it shows harleyquinedotcom which is my real username. Do you know of any way to change?

Thanks for the responses, am glad to get to the bottom of this.

Gah ?? Do you think they might update the plugin system to show display names instead of actual usernames any time soon? I have been waiting a few years for that and it’d do the job nicely.

No probs.. get that pro version up and if it’s less than $100 you’ve already got a sale. I’m doing a few pro versions of my plugins as well, it’s the only way to offer awesome features and keep them updated. Keep up the good work ??

The only reason that it would mess up youtube videos is because of the advertising codes you’ve put in the boxes. The script doesn’t use any javascript, flash or even AJAX because it doesn’t need to, it simply does what you tell it to do ?? I offer free support to everyone so why not stop on by and we can get your site up and running.
