Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Paid Member SubscriptionsThank you Gleb! I checked out the website and see only one downside to the plugin – the free version apparantly only works on sites with 10 members or less including Admin. My site is a full set up that will have tons of members. The “Pro” version of the plugin, for unlimited members is $200.00.
I will save this however for the future, but I think I’ll have to break down and find a way to write my own plugin.
Thanks!

In reply to: Paid Member SubscriptionsYea, the membership plugin was the closest I could find for sure. But no, it doesn’t have the role back feature as far as I could tell. And also, it only allows two ‘levels’. I’d have to buy the pro version for $40.00 in order to have more than just two – which I need.
For now, I just have a simple paypal button and I’ll have to do it all by hand. I have an excel sheet ready to go to keep track of who is expiring and what not. But I like I said, I want it to be all automatic.
Thanks for commenting Mason! I know php well enough to read it and edit minor things, but I don’t think I could actually write my own plugin to do what I want. I don’t know enough to put something together. But I am doing research now to see what it would take/if I can figure it out.

In reply to: Front-End Content Edit and CreateI found another one! This one allows for custom content! But it’s an alpha release. Still, I’m going to test it out. See if it works.

In reply to: Front-End Content Edit and CreateHey Robert!
Thanks SO much for the quick reply. That plugin seems to be exactly what I need.
I also search the tags like you suggested and found this one that might work also. I’m going to download both and see which one works better.

Thanks so much again! I couldn’t find either of these plugins when I did a search for them. I really appreciate it.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Custom Page Templates Causes ErrorsI don’t know what happened. But when I tried to recreate the issue to get the exact error message – suddenly it worked! So, now everything is the way it’s supposed to be. I don’t understand or know why it wouldn’t work before (for two days!!) but now it is.
So, I’m closing this, since the steps in the wordpress codex DO actually work. Maybe my server was just having issues?
Either way, I’m just glad it works now.
Thanks tnoguchi for responding to help me so quickly.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Custom Page Templates Causes ErrorsOh, here is the link to the website I’m trying to build, so you can see the front page in full. I don’t have any real content up yet, since I’m trying to build this for a friend – and can’t get the templates to work as I said.
You’ll notice the slider is on every page, but like I said, I only want it on the front page.
