What doesn’t make sense though is that when I started there were actually 3 incidences of consecutive sentences. Yoast identified them and highlighted them, and turned the highlighing off when I fixed them. So it doesn’t seem like it’s identifiying bullet points in this case, it seems like it was unable to “reset” once I fixed the issue.

Hi Mushrit, I cleared the cookies and cache and restarted the browser. Logged back in to the post and it still shows the 3 consecutive sentence problem and when I click the eye there are no purple highlighted sentences (I know the purple highilghts are functioning because when I started there were three areas highlighted, but after I fixed each area and the highlights went away the problem notification didn’t clear.

Thanks for this advice @properlypurple! I’m only seeing the upper corner of your screen in the video, and didn’t see the option “Inner blocks use content width,” am I missing something on the screen or was that option not shown? Thanks ??

Hey Chris you were spot on, I think the All In One SEO might have automatically installed with another plugin (if that’s a thing), I have no recollection of installing it. Once I deactivated it all was good again – thanks for the quick response!

Solution for anyone who needs it, thanks to Ben Sibley at competethemes.com (best developer ever):

This post had multiple embedded videos. Ben had me create a staging website using my host (A2), then open the post on the staging website.

I copied all of the content to the clipboard, deleted it on the post, and saved the post that way. When I went back into the post all the the missing options (featured image, categories, etc) were BACK on the side menu!

I then pasted the content back in, saved it, and the options are still in the side panel.

So there was some kind of conflict with the video embeds (possibly they had been first added in classic WP then converted to Gutenberg).

One other note: besides featured image I also am unable to see or edit the categories and tags, they are all missing in the right panel and in the preferences/panels menu.

Thank you for this reply, it sounds like this is a good possibility as a workaround. I still would love to figure out the root cause of the problem to avoid repeating it in the future, any idea why the featured image won’t show on just that one post?

Can you tell me if it’s possible to manually start the backup, then disable the plugin in between? Then I could hopefully avoid the resource usage errors except for when I’m making a backup.

Thanks for following up. I contacted WP Rocket (where the page caching is occurring) and it sounds like if I disable the page caching the speed of my website will be negatively affected, so I may need to choose one or the other. I’m not versed in the technical side of things, but here is what they explained to me:
“To be compatible with page caching, the plugin would need to rely on a “cache-friendly” method such as JavaScript/AJAX, instead of relying on PHP”

I’m assuming Black Hole uses PHP (whatever that is haha!) and that plus the WP Rocket page caching is causing the Google Search Console error?

No warning messages, but today for the first time I can see there is no backup for yesterday, so possibly when I tried changing it back to monthly then back to daily yesterday that reset the system? I will watch and see if the backups switch to weekly and message here if they dont.

Thanks for these ideas, I will change those settings!

One other question: I also decided to change my backup frequency to weekly instead of daily. I went into UpdraftPlus settings, clicked the settings tab, and chose “weekly” for files backup schedule and database backup schedule.

Then I clicked “save changes” at the bottom.

It’s been about 4 days since then and it is still backup up daily. When I go into settings, however, it says weekly, so my changes did save.

Any idea why it’s still backup up daily? Thank you!

I haven’t disabled all plugins yet, when I emailed my web host they sent this info which made me hone in on my updraft plus settings. I don’t have a technical background, when you read this does it help you know which Updraft plus settings I might need to change?

The zip archive is coming from the updraft plugin. It can be quite CPU and I/O intensive.
