    Hey thank you!!!

That was a quick update and yes, it works now.

It would be cool if there was a way to distinguish between the dreaded vertical videos and the regular landscape videos. My workaround for the time being is to just include a link to the file alongside the preview… I understand that this is more of a QuickTime Player problem than a postie issue.

Donation sent! Thank you for keeping Postie working!

    I’m having the same problem.

The link works, the player works, but it doesn’t show up on the page, instead I’m also getting the message above.

Lengthy discussion with Mike (the developer) resulted in him telling me, that my server was probably configure wrong. But I have set up Wimpy on another clients page wich is hosted on the same server and it works there. So I’m not a complete idiot. Just on my page/installation there seems to be something weird.

    Anyone?

Just disable the line for the rss feeds in you header.php file in your template. Easy, really

Thanks Michael for the help, and of course you are right, but my day has limited number of hours available and every now and then I’d rather practice Schubert than reading tech manuals… at least I’m honest about my priorities… ??

But I have now finally found the solution, 25 bucks but that ain’t much!

It’s an app called Blue Crab and it’s from the good people at: https://www.limit-point.com

And yes, I just tried it. The resulting pages have garbled file names but hey, as long as it’s viewable I don’t care.

Again, anyone who needs this on the Mac, that’s your solution!

    Thanks and cheers

PS: Now when do we get all those nifty plug-ins that we had for WordPress 1.5 better yet: why did I update….? ??

    Ooops… edited while you posted…

I will look around for more options, however, I think it would be a neat feature of WordPress to have a good output option.

WordPress is sort of predetined to serve as an online writing collaboration tool and it’s only natural that at some point you would want to publish that.

    Thanks

I’ve of course searched the site before and found this also, but since I’m not the Unix crack I would like to be, I would prefer another option. I don’t even know how to “build my own Unix whatever” ?? I’m a music producer trying to prepare a distribution of a synthesizer manual… remember?

I’ve tried the download page with iCal option, tried WebDevil they all break the links and if I am to try said suggestion (wget) I have to be sure that it keeps everything like it was.

Have you tried it and can tell me if the links stay intact?

    Thanks for the help

    Cheers
    Hans

PS: I did try it as I found a binary distribution for Mac OS X however it only downloads the first page and not the whole archive, and that’s as far as my Unix skills go… sorry, I can write melodies instead
