If I do that it messes up the page, I get a page with only the header and the main menu and no text. It is also not clear for me where to put the code if I want it on the top of a page.

off topic: how on earth did you get the page to look so visually stunning? I don’t even recognize twenty-seventeen! But maybe I am just an amateur ??

that works, I put in lightgreen, is there a lighter green than glightgreen? How do these colours work?

nothing happens if I input it in extra CSS in the editor.

somehow it mysteriously changed yes, so it’s OK for now…

I try them out in the customiser > extra CSS and when it works fine I transfer them to the child-theme. It works fine now, at first the page didn’t refresh ??

And just curious: what does @media screen and (min-width: 48em) mean?
What does it add to the changes?

thanx, that works for the space above the title, but not for below.
In fact, changing the parameter in padding-bottom doesn’t change anything I think.

Any solution for the whitespace below the page title and the text?

PS: I use a child-theme, yes
And do the changes made in the customizer>extra css stay when you update twenty-seventeen?

I used .wrap { max-width: 1150px; }
and it seemes to work for the width

some more: how to reduce the white-space between the menu and page name on normal pages/posts?
how to reduce the white-space between the page name and text area on front-page and pages/posts?

I reduced the text size on pages, does the text of the menu bar goes along with that? Or do I have to reduce that manually also?
