Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Problem with featured postsI’m now having additional issues – just trying to edit things (ie clicking on customise in Appearance) is taking me to a page saying the website cannot handle the request. I don’t know if it’s something to do with my theme, I have tried to activate another one and that led to my site disappearing completely (I managed to revert). Any help would be really appreciated – thank you.

In reply to: [JustWrite] slider images too large, cannot resizeHi, thanks for the answer. I’m not resizing the browser though. The issue is that although I have both post thumbnails and slider thumbnails set to 622 by 500, the slider thumbnails are twice the size of the post thumbnails. I really want them to be the same size.. Is there any way to resolve or is it best to replace the featured slider with a different plugin? Many thanks

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: wp dashboard and site blank after css editHi, thanks so much – I need more explanation though as I’m pretty new to this. Does that mean I need to reupload to wordpress the child theme files? When I go into the functions.php on my computer, it doesn’t have the changes, it’s as it was originally.
I don’t really know what FTP is, is there a specific programme I need to download for that and then what is the destination I need to transfer to?
I can’t get into wordpress at all so I can’t upload files from there or change to a different theme.
Really appreciate the help!

In reply to: Cannot stop metadata (author, date etc) showing up on postsThanks WPyogi, that worked! I appreciate your help. Yes tutiP, I had success, I posted this in the custom css box in the theme settings section, just on its own, and that sorted everything out.

In reply to: Cannot stop metadata (author, date etc) showing up on postsSorry I should have included that. It’s thisweekshealth.com. You can see that underneath the post, such as on the front page, it says posted by me on Nov 14th. This is not a blog that we are creating but a magazine, of which I am editor, so these articles will need individual bylines if they have anything at all (in many cases we won’t want anything to show).
I have tried to hide it using CSS and have followed all of the CSS instructions to do so, but nothing is working. Either I’m doing something really wrong or Oxygen perhaps has an override (I did see something about integrated metadata on posts in the theme description).
Any thoughts much appreciated!
