In reply to: 404 Error after edit -> Update PostThanks for that, novada. Sheds a very clear light on the matter.
Ok, Jo0lz, let’s do that then. Thanks.

In reply to: 404 Error after edit -> Update PostEditing a comment works fine, unlike the post.

In reply to: 404 Error after edit -> Update PostUnfortunately the .htaccess modifications didn’t work for me, same goes for the avatar-plugin.
From what I heard, modifying the .htaccess file can solve a lot of issues, but it’s advised to leave this file as it is. It did solve some of the WP-issues I had before 2.7, but it seems like the bugs got resistant now ??
I’m sure your method will help a lot of users struggling with this issue, but as you mentionned: answers from WP-experts might give a fully waterproof solution.
Eitherway, thanks for the time and energy you’ve put in this fix – I think it will help most of the people out who are landing on this page.

In reply to: 404 Error after edit -> Update PostIt doesn’t have anything to do with activated plug-in’s either, eventhough the avatar plug-in suffers from this issue.

In reply to: 404 Error after edit -> Update PostSame here… It’s been doing that for a long while now. Quite irritating.
<i>Quick edit</i> works fine though.

In reply to: 500 Internal Server Error in rb-internal-links pluginMaybe this could help though: https://abing.gotdns.com/posts/2006/wordpress-error-404-when-publishing-or-saving-post/
I gave it some read. No result though in my case though. I don’t think it’s got something to do with a bad word, because the post was there a couple of days, and then all of a sudden this 500-server error came up. Beats me.

In reply to: 500 Internal Server Error in rb-internal-links pluginI’ve got the very same problem and i know it’s the
SecFilterEngine off
-line that causes this mess. There should be an alternative for this line because it’s necessary. Otherwise I get 404-pages after editting a post.

In reply to: Text and content doesn’t show up in post after publishingWith all the respect, Iridiax – ànd you’re right about that – but I don’t think it’s valid code-related this time.
All I did was dividing the post over four different posts, which should result in the same error in one of the posts somehow. So I don’t think it has anything to do with that.
It could be the reason, but I strongly doubt it.

In reply to: Text and content doesn’t show up in post after publishingExactly, I’ve divided the long post in four different sections as a workaround.
Look, it must be something small that we just can’t figure out. Can someone shine the PHP-techie beam against the nightsky of Gotham city?

In reply to: Text and content doesn’t show up in post after publishingThanks for the reply.
Two questions however:
1) Why didn’t this happen in earlier versions of WP?
2) The author of this post never used tables, php, javascript or anything else whatsoever.
I’ve divided the post over four posts now. That seems to work, so I’m still convinced that it has something to do with the post’s former length.
Nonetheless, thanks for your advice.

In reply to: Text and content doesn’t show up in post after publishingQuestion: can this be caused by unusual characters since the update?
