Hi Max,

It’s really weird. I checked the box you suggested, and nothing changed. I even downloaded the “Search Everything” app and enabled it, and still, the only thing that shows up in search is text on my “about” page. I still can type in words that are in the titles of my comics, and get no results.

If anyone has any other ideas, I’d love to hear them. I do need to have a working search on my site and it’s just weird to me that it doesn’t.

I am having this same issue – just wondered if anyone found a resolution for it?

I tried deleting some non-essential plugins, but it didn’t work.

I found a strange solution – if I add text to any post – even if I hit the space bar once and do nothing else – it works. The text magically appears at the bottom of every post. No idea why. And very laborious. But still easier than any other plugin I’ve tried.

If there is existing text in the post, I still have to make some kind of a change in order for the text to appear at the bottom. Weird but true.

Just an fyi if anyone has a similar problem.

As a follow-up, for some reason, it now seems to work on the first and most current pages, but nothing in-between.

Yes, I’m using Comicpress. Is there anything I can do to get the images to show up in the email, or will it just not work with that theme?

Just thought I’d throw another follow-up post in here, to see if I could get any more suggestions….

Can you go into any more detail on that, YouON? I am not a tech guy at all. How do I check the loop on my template? What does that even mean?

I figured it out.

In case anyone else ever has this problem (though most people here are more technically advanced than I and probably won’t have my problems!), I made a post in the blog section. In WordPress, they have this button that says “Stick this post to the front page.”

That seems to have taken care of the problem.

Never mind…. it’s fixed!

The guru at comicpress’s forum told me to copy and paste the original CSS; I was able to make the needed changes from there.

I’m willing to reload the theme if necessary, but to avoid the work in rebuilding everything, I’ll see if fixing the current theme is possible.

mechx1, I assume when you say “see the working site” you mean you just want to visit the current site, yes? The url is https://www.hamstertails.com. Being a newbie, I don’t assume anything anymore, so if you need something more from me, just let me know.
