Nice little hook in to the PRO version. There’s little point in the verification without ticking the box is there.
OK, thanks for confirming

Thank you for that
I spoke to the theme’s author and he was able to fix this so all seems good at the moment. I have sent them one more question though as the registrant receives two emails. The with the login url, which doesn’t make sense because they cant login without verifying the email address and the email with the verification link comes second. I’m not even sure the first email is needed as the login link is clearly on the website. Is the email chain customisable through your email verification plugin ?Forum: Plugins

Bit confused by the tick or untick but I will assume your last comment is the best and leave it ticked unless you want to correct me on my understanding of that ?
Thanks again
AndrewI am finding that the second step of the registration process isnt working. i.e. I am not taken to the statement telling me to check my email. Instead it just takes me directly to my home page. Do you know why that might be ?
Thank you for getting back to me Zorem
Actually I managed to fix it. Basically I changed the password on my O365 Outlook server and forgot to update it in my SMTP plugin. Ive updated the plugin and now it works OKForum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] Spam registration attemptsThanks for that
I just tried that address with my domain and the search engine recognised it as a fake address, so it didnt bring up my website ? However that box is ticked. Should I still untick it
Kind regards
Andrew
Thanks Peter
The theme’s author recommended changing the url of the registration page and that simple change seems to have fixed the issue.Kind regards

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] SPAM Registration AttemptsHi Stephane
I don’t know how to code, the website is built on a theme. I have spoken too the theme’s developer and he suggested changing the url of the registration page and that simple change seems like it may have resolved the issue.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Spam registration attemptsThanks Oyadeyi
I’m already using both and they seem to work fine for what they are supposed to do as I’m only using the free versions so to my knowledge Wordfence doesnt block SPAM registrations. I am reaching out to them on their portals for advice on their plugins. I was hoping for the same from Woocommerce, seeing as the vulnerability is from the registration page. My theme’s author has advised me to change the url of the page, which i have done and am hoping that may resolve it but will have to keep an eye on it.

In reply to: [Customer Email Verification for WooCommerce] SPAM Registration attemptsHi
This is the current registration url
https://yachtsandproperty.com/my-account/?register
I’ve sent a message to the theme’s author asking how to change this but if you know please advise as that could save me some time.I don’t know if it is possible to track the IP addresses. Should I see if there is another plugin that could do that ? I’m a bit concerned about plugin conflict as I currently have your plugin, recaptcha, akismet, wordfence and woocommerce all playing a part in the registration process and then I have a url customisation plugin as well for the WP-Admin page. But if you think its worth trying another plugin, I could do some research ?
Thanks for your time and kind regards
Andrew
OK, I’ll have to review this properly tomorrow. Thanks, Andrew
Thanks Peter
Does this help: https://www.loom.com/share/43113fd88e094d2580b43dd0cf5514a0 ?I did try turning all plugins off except wordfence and still got the errors it was only without wordfence on it would work and that was with the other plugins on.
Kind regards
Andrew
