  • Hello, so glad so many have found their answer!

However, when I follow the above directions, it results in all my links now taking me to the WampServer Server Configuration page :/

    I did restart Apache.

    Any ideas on a fix?

Just following up on this, you have to have a FaceBook account that is a person, this will not work using an account that is a page.

Hope that helps someone! It took me a really long time to figure it out!

Just to follow up on this, what was occurring is I had set up a test site and had forgotten to close the comments, so I got slammed with an insane amount of spam.

Apparently my host wasn’t happy with the amount of traffic and a program just shut everything from my account down? Not sure, but if anyone ever gets this warning, hopefully this helps.

P.S. Another idea. Did you purged the theme cache in phpBB ACP after switching settings in WP United plugin?

Ah! Another great idea, thank you. I will check that when I am ready to try to integrate themes again. I am currently focusing on other issues related to the update.

Would you, by any chance, know where the WP-United “User Manual” is located? I keep seeing it mentioned in threads over at the WP United forum, but alas I cannot find it…

I have had to uninstall and delete my phpBB3 version of WP-United due to update problems. Ensured I have the newest install on the phpBB3 side, I continue to experience the issue. Here is what I get with DEBUG set to “TRUE”:

    DEBUG
    WP Version = 3.5.1
    Integrate users hook called.
    User integration active.
WP already logged in, phpBB logged out.

Thanks, Giurra. The only reason I would use the theme integration is to use my blog sidebars. But I can’t even get it to work on a full page, I just get a mess, a white page with links all over it.

Thanks for your response. Sorry I was not clear: all my group’s permissions are set in phpBB3 for WP United.

I do not see any “can reply to…” in my phpBB3 WP United tab. Could you help me understand: are you saying WordPress users can only comment if they’re listed as subscribers? Because in the phpBB3 I have these options:

Can integrate as a WordPress Author (can write blog posts)
Can integrate as a WordPress contributor (can write but not publish posts)
Can integrate as a WordPress subscriber (can view profile, write comments)

According to WordPress roles, all of these options can comment, and all of my groups except guests have the role of contributor so they can also write blog posts.

Your WP-United settings will allow me to choose all three of these options, which further confuses me.

I have tried all three options separately with my groups and with every option the comments are closed.

I would really like to see this working, it is such a nice idea.

    One more issue here:

Even though I have in WordPress that comments are enabled, the WordPress posts have no comment input field.

Again, I have permissions for all groups that they can cross post, the phpBB3 posts are showing up as comments under the WordPress post, but the WordPress post has no option to post a comment.

Ok, thank you for your quick response ??

So I have been working with this all day, trying to figure a couple of things out, and have hit an end, so I gotta bug you again.

Am I supposed to be able to log into one or the other (WordPress or phpBB3) and automatically be logged into the other? Because this isn’t working.

I also have gotten the cross posting to work, and it posts from WordPress to my designated forum, but I can’t figure out how to not have to “ok” it. I have mapped my users, and I also went into my phpBB3 settings and went to phpBB ACP -> Permissions tab -> Group forum permissions -> Selected Administrators, then chose my forums to cross post to and selected “Yes” to both WP United options.

Any idea what I need to do to fix this?

So I went ahead and installed it, since if it doesn’t work I’m probably going to switch over to bbpress, and I’m having some issues I figured I’d post up in case you see it and reply soon.

Instead of integrating my Admin from WordPress with my Admin from phpBB3, it created a new Admin1. When I said to break that link, it did, but it then created an Admin2. Rinse repeat and now I have Admin3. All three are logged in at the same time.

Also, it says I have 93 phpbb3 members to integrate, but then it only shows me three of them, and I don’t see any place I can manually created integrated WordPress memberships for them.

Other than that, the good news is so far I don’t think it’s *broke* my site anywhere ;D

(I do not care to integrate the themes, and am happy with how they look, my main concern is to integrate the memberships)

    Yes! Thank you ??

So… what you’re saying is it works, as long as you don’t use the setting that came with the plugin? ??

Thanks for the tip, it’s *less* skewed if I use medium instead of thumbnail, so you were onto something, but it’s still skewed. I’m hoping someone knows some css I can add or something that will make the plugin crop the image like it’s supposed to. I’m using the layout on a page I want to look different from my other pages.

    (@halo-diehard)

Followed your instructions and I’ve posted up at GitHub with this same profile name. Thanks ??

One more thing I found that isn’t posted over there, that may or may not be causing you guys an issue with that container bug: you’ve renamed the div for the right sidebar, my css wouldn’t work anymore. Perhaps it’s messing with your own css?

The name before was ‘div#sidebar.widgetarea’ and now it’s ‘div#sidebar.span4’.

Installed LenSlider plugin like tvoelker, and got the Custom Community banner to start changing the images again (but still no caption).

    Thread Starter Halo Diehard

    (@halo-diehard)

Went ahead and loaded the old version back. Still no captions or banner rotation, but at least my sidebars are where they’re supposed to be and my category pages are set up correctly.
