I think you have moved the “index.php” and .htaccess to root directory.

Here what you should do.

copy(NOT MOVE) index.php and .htaccess to root directry.
and edit it.
To run wordpress , you also need the index.php and .htaccess files to
https://www.sitename.com/crazyname and edited index.php to https://www.sitename.com(root directory).

It will certainly work.
Do this and let me know.

Hi,

This error is showing because “cgi-bin” has been deleted from hosting root.
Contact your web host to fix this,
It is server side…

Can you provide the url of website to check it out.

I think it is problem with web server !

Try to run a simple php script to another directory.if showing same error
then certainly it is problem with sever.

You need to setup passwords for mysql database before proceed forward.

once installed XAMPP then go to

https://localhost/security/
then click on the link given below
=> https://localhost/security/xamppsecurity.php <=
the you got the option to set password for database user “root”.

then go to
https://localhost/phpmyadmin/

login here using username: root and password you entered above.

create a database.

then extract and copy files to a directory and just browse
https://localhost/directory/

enter the details and install it.
it is better option to install.
