I am also noticing feed update issues. I use both pages with short code and also have my Autopost on but set to store in drafts since I pick and choose what I want to publish.

The Shortcode pages seem fine and are working normally.

The Autoposts seems not to follow the settings I have. For example, on the Autopost setting Restrict feeds to one of your defined RSS Multi Importer categories and place them in your blog categories I have chosen a plugin category and selected a Blog Post category only for Autopost but it is importing ones labelled Uncategorized as well.

It is also importing a few of the feeds I have set up for import but not others. A few formerly reliable Autopost feeds are no longer updating or importing. When I click update feeds, update database, or even delete database it just spins and spins forever. It used to be able to update after 3 minutes or so max and I let it spin for an hour and it still didn’t update.

It shows my Database was last updated 4 days ago but I can not update it since it just keeps spinning.

You have a fantastic plugin and I am extremely grateful for it by the way. Not sure if the 4.1 WordPress update changed things but something seems to be broken.

Just updated to 3.27. So far the only change I have noticed is the word “Recently Updated” next to my article posts. I might need to remove that since I am constantly updating my articles as I find autocorrect errors. How do we change that option?

One other weird thing I have noticed recently is spacing between paragraphs. I am not sure if this is related to Customizr or something else. What I mean is that it will not recognize paragraph breaks at all. This almost always occurs when I bold, italicize, or change the font color for some text. It will usually not affect the whole article just the following few paragraphs.

The fix I have found for this is to change from the standard font listed as paragraph to something else like Verdana for example and also by selecting a font size like 12 point.

I am not sure which plugin I installed that allows font choice, I just had a look and the only one that it might be is TinyMCE Advanced. Any tips on this paragraph break error where it won’t recognize the lines between and joins them all together?

Thanks for your replies. 5.5 is not listed as an option for me only 5.4. I was just wondering if I will encounter any database or login problems. I will make sure and back up everything before I upgrade in any case. Do you notice any changes like slightly faster or other improvements with PHP upgrades?

I just checked and I am on PHP 5.3. I have an option to upgrade to 5.4 but saw this message. Upgrading to PHP 5.4 might cause compatibility issues with code on your site.
Installed applications might not run under this new version.

I know that is not a customize related question, but is it a good idea to stick with 5.3 or does 5.4 offer a good reason to upgrade and with low risk of breaking wordpress?

The photon plug is actually a good one since it uses WordPress as a Photo CDN. So hopefully they can work out bugs to get the logo and photon working together again.

I fixed my logo problem. I discovered that Jetpack>Photon was causing the conflict. I disabled photon and now my logo shows up normally.

For anyone else with logo problem, try that and see if it works.

Looks like deleting the child theme by FTP fixed that error after all. I just tried to change themes again and now I can without seeing that error. Ok so I am at least back to where I started. But now a bit scared about trying that Child theme again.

Can some explain very simply to someone new to editing themes very simple and easy understand steps for getting a logo to appear. That other thread has a lot of confusion now with all those Internet explorer references so not sure what I need to change

Just to explain what I did. I had not been using the Customizr child theme before today, just the main parent one. I read that it might be a good idea to install and use the child theme so I downloaded it and installed. Then I tried to copy and paste the code from that logo thread above. It didn’t work for some reason for me. I then just decided to give up on the logo but noticed my menu was missing completely so I decided to just reactivate the Customizr Parent theme and call it a day but I got that error.

Now I am unable to change themes. I manually deleted the Child theme from FTP but that didn’t work. Here is my main them function.php

Now I have a new problem while trying to fix the logo. I download and installed the free Customizr Child theme. I activated it but my menu was missing. So I tried to revert back to just the main parent Cutomizr theme but get this error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/content/(removed for privacy)/html/gwmac/wp-content/themes/customizr-child/functions.php on line 13

So now whenever I try and change to any other theme including Customizr I get that error. I deleted the child theme but that didn’t solve the issue. I even reinstalled a clean copy in case I had messed with the php code and still get that error.

I am having the same issue, I read that thread but it became so long and confusing with all the Internet explorer talk I still didn’t know what I was supposed to do. I am on a Mac with Safari.

I used the correct 250×100 dimensions and tried .jpg and .png. It simply will not show my logo like it used to do before.

P.S. In a future update one big feature request I have is to allow larger logo sizes 325×325 for example and also more flexibility on where we want to place it. Also an option to choose font size for site title would be great. But awesome theme as is and thanks so much!

Solved my own issue. It was a CDN problem. I disabled my CDN then cleared cache and everything is back to normal.

I am currently having that problem. My menu and also the site info tagline in upper right are missing. I am also using W3 Total cache. I have tried unchecking all minify and clearing cache but menu and tag still not showing. They show while logged in as an admin but not in standard view.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for that amazing and direct support iThemes! Problem solved. Now that is what I call fantastic support! It was just a server hiccup because I deactivated it and something got screwy. I removed it completely and reinstalled and now it is fine.
