Wow, so much attitude. Calm down Diva. You are sure living up to your name. I use a lot of Jetpack options and I merely wanted to point that option out to RedBeauty that may not have known it was even there. Just because you don’t like or use Jetpack doesn’t mean it’s not a good option for many others that might need many of those features.
None of your posts have really added to this thread and the Diva attitude isn’t really making anyone want to take your post seriously even if you eventually make a point.
RedBeauty, you can do that with WordPress already and Jetpack. Inside Jetpack settings make sure you have “Publicize” turned on. Then just paste your Facebook URL there and it will publish to your Page. Also options for twitter, Tumblr, Google, and Linkedin. I use it exactly like you describe and it works well.

In reply to: [WP Fan Box] After Latest WP Update my Facebook Page is BlankThanks for the reply. I saw your link with my Facebook page working.
For some reason it isn’t showing on my site. I just tried again. I haven’t changed the short code. Do you see any problems with code or can think of any reasons it is blank?
I have that code above on this page. The sample instructions is visible but the Facebook feed is blank.

In reply to: RSS Feed Not Updating and Validation ProblemsSpecifically disabling Object Cache in W3 general settings fixed the problem. But now my site speed is lower. I hope there is a way to enable W3 Object Cache and Still have RSS work.

In reply to: RSS Feed Not Updating and Validation ProblemsIt looks like it was W3 cache causing the problems. I just enabled one by one and the RSS was fine till I got to W3 cache. I will have to play around with the settings in Page and possibly browser cache to see if I can identify why it is breaking RSS.

In reply to: RSS Feed Not Updating and Validation ProblemsWeird, I deactivated the plugins before and it didn’t solve the problem.
But now that I deleted the feedburner feed completely and deactivated plugins again my feed is updating properly. In the bottom left corner you can see the latest articles.
I will go through the plugins one by one till I figure out which one is causing an issue. Thanks.
One last question, is it best just to stick with the RSS that comes with WordPress? I had read there are good reasons to use Feedburner or similar but just wondering if it is worth the trouble after the problems I had today.

In reply to: RSS Feed Not Updating and Validation ProblemsYou may be right. Nothing fishy in .htaccess but I will keep looking. Is there a way for me to just start from scratch and get a fresh RSS from WordPress going?
Maybe certain RSS specific default files I could replace in my install for example.
gwmac.com/feed is giving a timeout issue as well as not validating so just want to nuke old RSS settings and files it and start clean if that is an option.
This is the message I am seeing on validator
timed out (Server timed out; misconfigured server?)
This is the message I am seeing on my WordPress RSS widget for gwmac.com/feed
RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes receiveForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: RSS Feed Not Updating and Validation ProblemsAbsolutely and thanks for helping. I already changed the address in my theme and widgets to gwmac.com/feed but it keeps redirecting to the feed burner link. How can I disable the connection as you request?
What other changes can I do besides simply changing the link in the RSS widget and inside my theme where it asks for the RSS link?
I can delete the feed entirely off feed burner if need be.

In reply to: Started getting ? appear in postsYou ain’t kidding. That rendered my site almost useless and made me look like an idiot that couldn’t type or edit. lol
I can solve most problems but anything to do with changes to MySQL database and I am helpless.

In reply to: Started getting ? appear in postsI hired a guy that fixed it. It was a problem with the charset in MYSQL database. Probably a simple fix for someone that knows how to repair it but I didn’t want to risk messing around there. He charged $50 .
All the other simple fixes I had found and tried didn’t really work.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Unable To submit Bug Report with Godaddy PHP 5.4 errorThanks laserjobs. I had been using W3 cache while on the older PHP for several months and then when I upgraded PHP switched to Super Cache. My results actually improved slightly on Gtmetrix, Pingdom Tools, and Google Pagespeed.
I am wondering if it is worth the trouble to downgrade to PHP 5.3 to use W3 again unless I could really get a speed benefit.

In reply to: SQL query to remove '?' from DBI am having the exact same issue. Can you please tell me exactly what you did to run that query. I am desperate to fix this issue but I also don’t want to nuke my whole site so I would be grateful for simple and easy to follow instructions.

In reply to: Started getting ? appear in postsI found a guy that was having the same issues and he has attempted many ways to resolve it with screenshots but he still hasn’t been able to eliminate the problem.
There has to be something that will fix this. I also tried the UTF-8 Sanitize plugin but it didn’t work. I am now skeptical to try all the other things he tried like changing the database’s character set and collation in MYSQL or dumping the entire MySQL DB, then removing all older non-utf8 characters via TR command. That didn’t solve his problem.
I really hope there is a solution because this is really a major issue.
