No, I did not.
Instead I just used the script module / javascript module (I can’t remember if that was the name, and can’t even remember if “module” is the right word i wordpress) and edited the header.php with some javascript in the header section.
I don’t have access to the site anymore, and have only worked with wordpress this one time, so I can’t be more specific, sorry.
