Before I go “live” (or immediately after) I need a backup and continued backups.
UpdraftPlus seems to be THE Plugin to use. Before I download and activate it, I have some questions-

I’d like to backup and restore to my PCs local drive and/or external hard drive. I have LOTS of space and download/upload speed. I know it’s possible – but how ? Would I still be able to restore individual components i.e. theme, plugins, etc as shown in the videos ?

Been watching the videos and reading the tutorials and I’ll continue (starting with your sent links). I just wasn’t sure what to do in my case (I know I can setup Search Console later).

Thanks to your videos, I’ve had an epiphany about a great keyword phrase (I think) to get some “rank” for my “About” Page.

Question: Shall I do my SEO stuff while I’m NOT “live” or do it “live” ? (Yoast recommended doing the SEO stuff BEFORE going “live”.)

One more –

Dyad-2 is my Theme, which is a blog. On the setup I can choose to be a blog or small business. A small business setup, as I understand, would focus on being (more) “Local” rather than “National” or “Inter-National”; I prefer to be “Local”. (Having the “local” option was one of the reasons I switched to RM). However, the site is NOT a local business – my intent is to focus on one.

Any thoughts about which to choose ? Or does it just “boil down” (easier said than done) to having “Great” SEO ?

Do you mean “Is there an (easy) way to copy a page to a new page ?”

No, I haven’t done much with that – been spending a lot of time on SEO. However, if you have any suggestions or comments about it, I’d love to hear them. There are so many “Great Job” images that the page is going to be really long “scroll” wise.

“What is the difference between your site and the theme demo?”

I’d like to have 3 posts with images going across the same “line” i.e. picture/post, picture/post, etc. side by side, left to right. Like the IMAGE of Dyad.

The Dyad-2 IMAGE (whats “clicked” to get the demo) at the top right of the doc (link) you sent me shows 2 image/posts side by side left to right on the same “line”. The demo shows post & images like my site is now showing.

I switched back to Dyad-1 (what you saw “live”). I like the look of the 3 picture/post, left to right, same “line”, it works for me.

Can I get Dyad to show 3 image/posts across, left to right like in the IMAGE of Dyad or is what I’m getting the way it is ?

Are those picture/posts (The top right image of the Dyad-2 doc) going left to right NOT featured posts ?

Do I need 2 sets of pictures for the “Featured” on top and the post below ? If so, how would I get the smaller images into the posts ?

Or put another way, all my images are BIG. I need large “featured” images (and they are), but smaller images for the posts ? & the plugin(s) will do that for me ?

I know I need to research images, this “Nothing Found” stuff set me back.

Thanks for the links. The images at the top that move (“<” & “>”) are my “featured” images and meet the criteria in the doc.

I’m not sure I understand. I need to resized (the “featured”) images for the posts or a plugin will do that for me ? And thumnails ?

I selected the option to “also display tagged posts outside the Featured Content area” in the Featured Content, and the (featured) posts are there ! Not quite in the checker board pattern of the demo Dyads 1 & 2, but I assume resized images will correct that ? (I’m also aware of browersize.com).

So I’ve been spinning my wheels for 3 days and wasting your time because I somehow unchecked a box ? I feel like an nitwit.

I should have the featured posts on a grid line with the image on the left the post on the right then another post to the right of the 1st post. Dyad-1 allows for 3 images and posts accross (up to 6 featured posts according to the demo/doc).

I’m back to using Dyad-1, that is what you see. With Dyad-2 all the same occurs.
