In reply to: validation error: !–more– “function”perhaps the one under concern is the “wpautop” for ” the_content”, which (perhaps, I’m not sure) appends the and to the post content, which I think what gaius mentioned in the first post.

In reply to: validation error: !–more– “function”errr,.. perhaps my reply was misleading.
what actually meant is like this,
due to function apply_filters() is applied to post content, the script automatically add opening to the post content, and closing tag as well.
This is regardless I have <!–more–> or not in my entry.
From your first post I comprehend that only closing tag is added.
I hope I don’t miss anything this time.
and yes, adding an open para tag isn’t a big deal. Agrre.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Next post function: something wrong?I tried to find the culprit by looking through function next_post() in b2template.functions.php
when I remove the @ at line 660, become:
<snipp)
$nextpost = $wpdb->get_row(“
</snipp>
the error now shown:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /usr/home/guido/ public_html/x/b2-include/b2template.functions.php on line 660
Perhaps it’s because no $wpdb was declared nor initialized inside the function next_post()Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: greymatter archives 2 wpadding Julian’s reply,
Recall from the file gm-2-b2.php itself, that error message occur during connection failure to mysql database .
So, there must be something improper on your database config at b2config.php
Anyway, I couldn’t find file gm-2-b2.php in wp packages. Is it somewhere else?
