I’m no expert by any means but I had the same problem. Here’s how I fixed it and maybe there’s a better way.
1. Upload your picture. Of course the size of the image does affect upload speed but not too significantly.
2. Once uploaded, click and drag image to “post area”.
3. Once in “post area”, click on the image.
4. Then click on “insert/edit image” icon.
5. A dialog box should appear with the path and name of the image. (ex: https://www.majusho.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/4_e.thumbnail.jpg)
6. Remove the ‘thumbnail’ portion of the filename.
Like I said, there’s probably an easier way, but this way works for me.
