Hi!

I’m talking about the ad that is showing up inside the “Did You Know” widget here (see screenshot). It’s on the sidebar. The plugin is Random Content.

So if you go to a post, like here, you will see on the sidebar there is a “Did You Know” widget. This widget is based on the Random Content?plugin.

Currently, the ads are set up to be in the “post” only. I have used the Ad Inserter “List” feature to exclude the “Random Content” category (for pages and posts), but the ad is still showing up?

So it appears that ads are showing up on my sidebar on “posts” for the Random Content plugin. I used the List to exclude it, but it doesn’t work? I have removed the widget from posts, but you can see it on the main page. The ads do not show up there.

I just ran a test and indeed, while it works on the “Events” posts, unfortunately, it also affects my regular posts like (here) so I removed it.

Is there a way to distinguish the two posts? The ad for the posts is already built into the theme. So I would only use the ad insert for the “Events” posts like here.

But won’t that affect the ad that I already have for the regular posts (articles) like here? This one is for after every 6 paragraphs.

So if I make another one for “Posts”, for after 2d para, it will show up in the above links as well? Because I don’t want that ??

Block one is currently used for “Posts”
Block two is used for “Pages”. The ad populates under the second paragraphs for regular WP pages, but doesn’t work for “Event Calendar” pages. Is it because these are not considered “pages”?

Right, and it works here (On a “normal” page). But not on an “event” page.
