Typically I would work around this by creating files / folders needed manually but I am not sure this will work here, do you know a what directories and files I should try adding manually? I see in the code now when I go to that file its the debug line and the debug function itself is checking the option and should return … but its not?

I have not altered the filter ss_get_options either (multiple developers have worked on this as we made our own plugin to sync this off to S3 so worth checking but I can’t see anything hooking into those options so it “should” of returned as its off.)

But you realise this will not change anything if you read my first post?

Payments in general are all working fine, they are and have been going through for all users when using stripe card payments or google pay and even when I personally test apple pay there is no issue only a very small number of users report apple pay issues.

Also as I said in the first message nothing is appearing in the logs, the entire point of this ticket is to try and find more information on apple pay specifically and was there “somewhere else” that has logs for failures on that specific part of the stripe payment gateway because nothing is showing up in all the normal log places.

I will get the plugins and WP updated this will take several days as the client will need to test and approve those in a staging enviroment as well as checking all template overrides etc, I am dubious this will change anything as this has been a problem since it activated months ago and it was fully up to date at that time so unless specific fixes have been implemented for apple pay which are not listed in the change log:

Thanks for letting me know about that testing section its useful to know thanks, I see what you mean about the API returns now, this is very strange behaviour and obviously outside of your control.

The only other thing that sort of bothers me is that we set the default location / start location to be London but when searching a string that returns no results for example “Test” it will put the marker in Scotland, is there a method of maybe picking the map placement in this event?

This is something I don’ t understand, though. If you are restricting the results to UK only, why would you want to show information to a user when they search outside of the UK, if you don’t have any stores there?

So the reason for this is that when someone searches outside the UK we want to show them a message that says “to get help internationally you can contact xtz…” type thing.

I will review the rest of your response asap and come back to you, that’s the reason for outside the UK searches though.

We use a filter for this. wpsl_no_results and edit the HTML to show different contact options from outside the UK.

So to do some testing, I did turn on auto-complete but this doesn’t prevent issues happening, of course the auto complete now only shows UK addresses which is fine, but I suspect this isn’t going to be good for times where we want to show information to a user where they search outside of the UK which we do.

Also auto complete doesn’t prevent invalid entry, for example you can still type out “Paris” hit enter ignoring the suggestions and then do the same for “Hamburg” and end being centered in St Andrews gold course with side result info about “Isle of man Prison” so I’m not sure what causes that issue.

Do you have any other suggestions or can I give you any more info about this to debug further?

Sorry for not coming back to you sooner about this, the starting point is set fine its input box is having a chrome extension affect it (lastpass) sorry for the confusion there.

I am reviewing the other points such as turning on the auto complete, I am not the decision maker with some of these so I have to check in with them and come back with regards to if they work out as solutions.

I am not sure why start point is London but no results tends to end up in Scotland so that’s a bit odd.

Ok well that is not happening, Humanmade S3 uploads is a massively popular FREE plugin we have used for years and will continue to use across all of our wordpress websites.

We will either be downgrading to an older version of shortpixel and if that doesn’t work going forward we will be removing the plugin and using another solution thanks for confirming your stance on this.

The main problem developing in this new React JS based block system is the lack of usable feedback …

You get an error in your block … no actual debug info is usable you get an absolutely massive meaningless JS error in console that tells you ZERO about the actual problem you have so your left to try and work out what in your JS is broken.

At present im stuck in an “Attempt Block Recovery” loop on all blocks I’m developing where every time I load the editor I have to recover all blocks … the edit / save HTML match up with one another in code but still every editor reload requires me to recover all the blocks with zero usable feedback on “what” the actual issue is.
