In reply to: Problem after 3.1 upgradeI was using WordPress 3.0 when I did the upgrade to 3.1. Pages not loading is pretty vague, thanks. The browser hangs and never loads but I do not get a 404 error. The link is https://www.shastalibraries.org/staff
and I have tried with the 2010 theme with all plugins disabled and still the browser hangs and never loads anything but does not error. I did try and resave the permalinks and all other general settings.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Site URL problemsActually found out why it wasn’t working. I had followed a walkthrough and it had me create a virtual link which was not needed as I installed in the root directory of the default web site.
I still can’t get the header image to display remotely but will look at the forums for more answers.
Thanks

In reply to: Site URL problemsI found the hosts file under C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and added the IP (66.244.37.98) followed by the domain (https://www.shastalibraries.org). I also tried https://www.shastalibraries.org but no joy. It does show up again on the network pc but still without the header.jpg.

In reply to: Site URL problemsUnfortunately when I said new admin, I meant really new ??
Where would the hosts file be or how would one access it. After doing a search I see several files but none really point the domain to the IP that I can see.
