After more looking and testing, it is the Echo KB.

When you add “articles” to it, you do so in a 95% similar looking page editor, but it has no controls for sidebar. The EKB settings have sidebar controls, on/off, left/right, but nothing for “only when needed”.

Indeed it does, thank you. Unfortunately for us, this won’t work.. at least how we’d like. We have (in our case) only a limited number of links. There are too many for a long thin list, leaving 50% of the page empty, and while the pagination solves the long page issue, it still leaves it 50% blank. I was hoping it had a feature to make (example) 1-4 columns from the output, split after x items. So for us, we’d say 2 columns, split at 25. But, I do appreciate what you have done.

Sadly, the sort feature is attached to the display, so it won’t allow us to put sort and search side by side in 2 columns, unless we also want to scrunch the display into one column.

As a maybe, it would be great to get a [pdb_sort] shortcode someday, with the same target_instance= if necessary. Basically I want to do this…(in a very ugly example) https://www.screencast.com/t/jC2rvkvNK3

Wanted to update:

1. I found the sort option in the shortcode details. Not sure if this is the only place to add it, but I missed the note originally. (Issue Fixed) I tried to add search as well, but it stacks them making everything shift down. Would be awesome to put this side by side but I can only find a [pdb_search] shortcode so I can’t arrange them as such.

3. I found the option to add clickable picture/ligthbox. Turned it on, but would still like to have larger images in the single member page.

4. Not a CSS expert, so not sure if its possible to relocate items on the single member page. But, as a possible idea, any way you can break up the short code for this page into 2, [pdb_main_single] and [pdb_personal_single] which would allow us to move or relocate? I’d personally like them side by side on a wide screen and then shift into a single column when smaller.

So I ran our site through a few themes and this seems to be consistent with all I’ve seen so far. Is it assumed this is not something Elementor can fix?

Yes I solved it by adding a little CSS.
I don’t have access to an actual computer now to see what I changed but as soon as I do, might be Monday morning, I’ll post it here so you can see what my change was.

I’m not positive if it was your plugin, or was the theme, that my CSS had to adjust.

Ha, oddly the only change from when I posted this and now is the 4.8.1 WP upgrade that happened at about midnight our time.

Its working, and while I don’t know what the connection is, consider this closed.
