  • I’m having the same thing as @commontater. It’s infuriating. I have to add about 10 new users a week on this website, and it does one or two and then autofills the password field as soon as I do Add user and I can’t stop it saying ‘passwords don’t match’, which as we know is a nonsense. Any workarounds apart from downgrading?

any further thoughts? I’ve tried various things, including naming the field the exact same name, a different name, specifying number rather than text as the field content…

I wonder if it might be incompatible with one of the other plug ins I use for managing members.

If you had a moment I’d be happy to give you my logins to WP and MC so you can see it for yourself.

    Thanks

Hi Harish, yes I created a username field in MC to map the WP username to, called username on both sides. No error messages in the logs.

As it’s doing the import the log is showing:

    09:44:05Success: Updated user 1503

It pulls in email, first name and last name but the username field is blank in Mailchimp.

    Thanks, 1 solves that.

    2. How would I get you the metadata? If I dig into the php files what would I be looking for? It’s not a big issue I can live with it.

    3. Under user roles, beneath the extra profile info that your plugin generates is another field which appears if you have the BBpress forum plugin installed. It’s a field called Forum Role, which defaults to ‘no role for this user’ and I would like it to be set to Participant.

    Thanks again
