In reply to: [AddToAny Share Buttons] [AddToAny Share Buttons] not displayingI tried multiple browsers already, including a clean install of Firefox. Also, how would that explain it working another site with another host…on the same computer and same browser?

In reply to: [AddToAny Share Buttons] [AddToAny Share Buttons] not displayingIt seems to be a server setting or some other issue caused by my host. I disabled every other plugin and tried a different them, and it still does’t work. I installed it on another site, with another host, that’s using the same theme, and some of the same plugins and it works faultlessly…same as it did on my old site, before I made the mistake of changing hosts.

In reply to: [AddToAny Share Buttons] [AddToAny Share Buttons] not displayingTurns out the buttons not displaying was because I had the page set to private while I’m working on it.
I’m still having the editor issues on both of my sites.

In reply to: Search stopped working on my siteThe problem is Headway! Works with the default theme, even with all of my plugins active. Just started a new thread on their forum.

In reply to: WordPress 4.1.1 is over-compressing new imagesSame problem in IE. I cleared the history and it fixed the problem in both browsers. Looks like it was some sort of weird caching problem.

In reply to: WordPress 4.1.1 is over-compressing new imagesThis is strange! The compression appears to only be on my end. The image in your screenshot looks fine. So what would cause chrome to compress images as they’re displayed…but only certain images?
Maybe just a clear history an cache will fix it.
I size everything to the size I need before uploading and have WP set to not resize/create additional sizes.

In reply to: WordPress 4.1.1 is over-compressing new imagesHere’s my last post. I’ve been slacking lately. I have another in draft where the compression on the image looks even worse. If you got to any of my previous posts there’s no noticiable compression/pixilation on the images at all. Also I just checked with my host and there have been no recent changes to ImageMagic or GD on their end.

In reply to: Image upload problemsI’m pretty sure the problem is being caused by WordPress. I looked at a few of my recent previous posts and the images also have compression. Images from earlier posts have no noticeable compression, though. The first post where the images are being over-compressed is from Feb 18th, the same day WordPress released their latest update.

In reply to: Image upload problemsI tried disabling every plugin on my site and new images are still compressed very badly.

In reply to: Image upload problemsThe transparency issue turned out to be because I had a caption on the image. The white background for the caption is obviously going to show through the entire image. I can figure out a work around for that.
But it still seems like my other image is being really compressed, more than usual. I guess a work around would be to use pngs for all of my images?

In reply to: Removing image attachment pagesThat’s what I was afraid of.
I know all about Yoast, and Attachment Pages Redirect Plugin. I also just discovered All In One SEO allows you to select no index on the individual pages.
It would just be much easier if there was an easy way to delete them and prevent them from even being created.

In reply to: Broken FeedYeah I know that. Ive been doing facebook for years and recently started Google+ It used to be a site for my business with occasional blogs. Now I’m taking it in a completely different direction and making it primarily a blog. Just trying to find an easy way to get subscribers to the blog itself. There’s a few free plugins I’ve found for doing that, but it seems like feedburner is the best option.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Broken FeedI guess it’s not that big of a deal since I want other people to subscribe, not myself. Looks like feedburner is the way to go, to make it easier, from what I’ve been reading.

In reply to: Broken FeedIf I remember correctly you used to be able to use that url to add the feed to Outook too, though. I remember being able to click on a link to the feed and it would open a window in Outlook asking if I wanted to add it?
