I am having the plugin on a few websites (a “large” few :-)), and it runs just fine (after a the few preliminary IP manager hiccups of course).
Just saying ??Wicked cool! Thanks ??
Thanks God for dynamic IP addresses ?? Hop I will be able to clean them with your new AJAX solution “STRONGER THAN GREASE AND RESISTANT IP ADDRESSES”
??and the IP I used was added to the IP automatic blacklist with one transgression !
Weird…Yes ! If I add manually an IP address in the Firewall blacklist section, I get the automatic black list transgression error message when I try to access the web site login using this IP…
It seems that the Firewall Blacklist triggers the IP manager transgression answer…Hmmm that’s interesting as the IP I used was NOT the one I had issues with ! And I still got the “transgression” error message from the IP Manager (when this one should not get triggered for a login issue, due to the last update).
Let me try again with a new IP address…Thanks once again for your work and dedication to help people. That’s rare.
Not an issue anyway, I mark this topic as resolved.
Thanks Paul, but no luck. I kept only your plugin in my MU and I still had the AJAX issues.
If someone is reading this thread and has the same issue, please add your feedback over here.
I guess I need to wait for a CRON to take place or something like that ??
Yep that’s what I did (that’s the only way to access the plugin settings :-)). I was able to list a test ip in the black list. I tried connecting to the web site with a wrong password and I then got the “transgression” message telling me that I had only 3 transgressions left. At the end, I got the “you have been black listed by the wordpress simple firewall plugin”.
I then removed the blacklisted ip address but I still get the “you have been black listed” error message.
Is it supposed to work like this ?
ThanksI am in a multisite environment…
I do not see any list or any button that would launch a windowed list that would allow me to do that… Am I missing something ?
Hello,
I cleared the table, and my IP is now removed from the black list ??
I tried the refresh and now I have this message :
“There are no IPs on this list. Refresh”
If I refresh, I get “0” like before (white page, only “0”).
I am going to create a transgression with another IP than my usual and see what is going to happen if I stop one by one my other plugins.
I do not have any other “active” security plugins.Hello,
Nope, my IP address is indeed in the blacklist, I simply cannot remove it (Orange button). When I try to remove it (from IP Lists Management
Click the button below to manage the automatic black list IP addressses / View Auto Black List), the Automatic Black List
popup window turns white and then a “0” appear and that’s all. I quit the window using X and refresh the whole page, open the popup window again and the ip that I just removed is still there. I tried to do it using both chrome and firefox in different modes, just to make sure it is not coming from the browser. Where can I clear this cell in the base using phpadmin ?
Thanks
