Thanks very much for your reply.
Hopefully I can fix.

Hi David, you might find someone to help you in a WordPress freelancers group on Facebook. That’s what I had to do in the end, and it was a programmer in the Divi Freelancers group who helped me
Hi David, I visited the website linked to your profile, is this the one with the issue? I can see the mobile menu isn’t working. Looks like the same problem I used to have. The fix given on github didn’t work for me either but did find a workaround. I found someone through Facebook who I had to pay to do the fix because I, in the end doubted myself, after receiving no adequate support from Elementor. I think Elementor is good except in this instance. OceanWP, on the other hand, were very supportive, even though the issue wasn’t theirs, they did their best and would use their software again.
I found someone who can fix the issue as long as you don’t do any major edits to the homepage.
Someone sent me a link that posted a fix from august on github that says to fix error within getCurrentDeviceMode function.

I understand from various helpful people that Elementor works well with different themes, so not everyone has this issue. Unfortunately the site was designed by someone else and this is my first time using Elementor. The problem appears to stem from within the Elementor code.
Could someone from Elementor respond to this?
There appears to be a problem in the code. Someone sent me a github link that suggests a fix. Trying it and will update.

In reply to: [Beaver Builder - WordPress Page Builder] mobile menu not responsiveThank you Simon, much appreciated. I will see if I can fix this.
Problem not fixed after all, but unsure that the problem is with Elementor, but it began after the Elementor update (the designer didn’t use the PRO version). It could be another plugin so still looking.
I’ve fixed the problem. There was a conflict between Elementor plugin and another one that the original designer had used. I have removed the other plugin. OceanWP and Elementor are working.
To be clear there was another problem with OceanWP, which has been fixed. But the mobile menu not working on the front page seems related to Elementor when I looked at code. I asked someone else to have a look as well and they came to the same conclusion. However the original designer used Elementor and Beaver Builder to create different sections of the site. Please note that I didn’t build this site, so am troubleshooting.

In reply to: [Elementor Website Builder - More than Just a Page Builder] Poor supportI resolved the issue. The problem was due to another plugin that appears to have conflicted with Elementor update. My rating above has to do with the lack of response to my support query about the code, not about the quality of Elementor as I’ve only just started learning to use it. And I wasn’t the original site designer, just examining and fixing the site. Thank you for having read my review.

Has anyone had success getting site back online after update?

In reply to: [onetone] Sections not editableThanks, You are correct. I sorted it out earlier. It was a conflict with css modification but also there are changes to the structure of the parent theme which overwrote sections. I got it all back now
