How do I get the post back in the page? I don’t see how a little padding can fix that. If I need to make extensive changes for it to work, than this plugin is not for me. I need a plugin that works ‘out of the box’.
It can’t be the theme or my mods because I’ve used others that work just fine.
Thank you for spending all this time, but I think your plugin needs a little more work.

Ps. the KBE template is now present in the page attributes panel and is selected for this page.
I think it could be a conflict between the custom template and the way the theme handles templates.
I will change themes to see what happens if traffic stops for the day (I’m in CET btw)

I have checked the template folder; all files are accounted for and permisions are in order I think (755).
I copied all files from the template folder into a new directory at ../wp-content/themes/suffusion/wp_knowledgebase/ and de-/re-activated the plugin. This had no effect.
I then copied the wp_knowledgebase folder into the child-theme’s folder (as suggested by Joel) en again de-/re-activated the plugin. This has an effect, although not the right one yet. The content has now shifted outside the main page.

The page is there and has the shortcode on it.
It is assigned to the standard template of the theme, but the KBE template is not in the list.

There is no Page Attributes panel in the Admin area to change the page template. I have the option to set the Category and the Tags, but not the template.
Perhaps this is due to the KB being a CPT.
The theme I’m using is Suffusion. Within normal pages I am able to change the template and it also supports Custum templates. I have created one before and it also showes up in the Page Attributes, but not the KBE template.
I understand that it can’t work perfectly in every situation, that’s why I want to help you get to the bottom of this ??

Fresh install, problem persists. Left sidebar is missing and right sidebar is below content.
The breadcrumbs are a vertical list.

I tried the solution Joel suggested, but my whole site crashed. I had to deactivate your plug in and convert all to regular posts to keep the site live.
Let me know if you really need the example and I’ll re activate it for you.

I know little about CSS, but when I inspect the elements, the sidebars appear to be inside the main column instead of outside. Perhaps the KB-container should be as large as the mainpage-container? Or it inherets something it shouldn’t?

I just installed it new (v.1.0.9) and it seems the css is still not working. I don’t know if it’s my theme or all the adjutments I have made to it in the past, but only the pages in the KB are effected.

To close this topic of, I did not find a solution to this problem. Maybe some files were corrupt. I don’t know.

I ended up deleting the entire blog en reinstalling it. This resolved the problem but I loosed my blog ??

No, I haven’t and to be frank, I don’t know how.
I tried restoring a backup once using phpMyAdmin but I ruined everything, so I’d rather not go there ??

Yep. Deactivated AND removed all plugins. After this re-installed WP to make sure all core files were intact.
Same problem occurs with Twenty-Ten and Twenty-Eleven.

UPDATE

I noticed that when I go to the ‘Themes menu’ and click on “adjust”, I get a new preview window (new in the version??). I then see the Log in screen instead of a preview. After entering my credentials, it returns to the Log in screen instead of showing me a preview.

Maybe this has something to do with it?

(Btw I also updated Suffusion to the latest version)
