Good:

• Colour scheme fits well.
• Loving the scrolling images near the top.

Needs improvement:

• Could do with some speed enhancements (such as minifying the code with a plugin such as WP Minify).
• When there are too many tags to fit into the tag area, then all the tags are moved down (example).
• There seems to be a large empty space in the footer between the Twitter feed and the About widget.

Do you receive an error? What is it?
Are you able to add tags to pages?
Which theme are you using?
Which browser/os are you using?

Which version of IE are you using?
Have you tried it on other computers?

I have an existing web site and would like to us a blog on that web site

OK. See this:
(I’m assuming you have FTP access.)

1. Create a new folder in your website. You can call it whatever you like, but something along the lines of /blog may suit it better than something nondescript.
2. Download the latest version of WordPress from www.remarpro.com.
3. Upload that download into the folder which you created in step 1.
4. Create a MySQL database. If you are unsure about this, ask your host.
5. Visit yourdomain.com/yourfolder.
6. Enter your MySQL information
7. Create a user & it’s password.
8. Done!

Google Chrome doesn’t have an rss feed reader. Google Chrome doesn’t open anyone’s rss, unless you have an extension installed such as this.

Weird. Try this:

1. Do what you said:

I uploaded the picture & inserted it into the Page.
I uploaded the PDF using the Add Media button.
When I Edit the image thumbnail, I put the link into Link URL associated with the thumbnail, I click UPDATE.

2. In the post viewer, press HTML instead the Visual tab at the top right of the text box.

3. Find the image, and before the <img> add this:

<a href="https://yourdomain/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/name.pdf" target="_blank">

4. After the <img> tag there will be an </img> or a />. Add this: </a>

5. Save the post and open it in your blog & see if it works.

Try this.

If it doesn’t work, then contact your host.

RSS feed looks fine to me. What is the exact problem?

1. Open .htaccess file.
2. Remove anything similar to …

AuthUserFile /folder/.htpasswd
AuthType Basic
AuthName "PrivateWebsite"
Require valid-user

… from the .htaccess file.
3. Save it.
4. Delete the .htpasswd file.

IE 6 has major problems rendering new technologies. Do you have to use such an outdated browser? (This is IE 6 we’re talking about – there’s been an IE 7, 8, and 9 since then.)

Try this.

1. Do you have mail() disabled?
2. Do you have the latest version of PHP installed on the server?
3. Reinstall WordPress (keeping the wp-content folder).

Soupking Quote: I found the editor but it only edits the CSS. I need to find access to the actual HTML.

The editor edits HTML & CSS. PHP functions like get_header are actually links to HTML files (get_header > header.php [which contains HTML]). It needs some common sense and some looking around but the files are there.
